As we all know Wladamir has been known to continuously hold especially when anyone gets close, putting his weight down on smaller fighters.

Even wrestling fighters to the ground, watch Mormeck and thompson fight.

We saw David Hayes tactic to overcome this pressing in falling to the floor so the referee can start again.

Now please look at the Tyson v Lewis fight where the referee continuously ensures Lewis does not hold tyson continuously, he even warns Lewis, now should referees take this type of approach.

Ive seen a lot of fighters complain that Wladamir is using illegal tactics, watch Lamon Brewsters interview on youtube where he has an interview with ellie, he shows dirty moves in boxing and Brewster says Wlad continuously puts his weight.

My question is should Wladamir have been disqualified in the Thompson fight and Momeck fight, I know in USA some of the referees are strict in ensuring fighters dont use these dirty tactics, please once again watch the Tyson Lewis fight, watch the referee.

Im quiet new to boxing, what are the rules on holding, should wladamir be disqualified or at least warned, maybe thats why he doesn't fight in other countries other than Germany etc.

    DOES WLAD LAWFULLY HOLD?
i would like to put a poll on this question but i dont know how to.

If you think Wladimir holds a lot, and that he was holding a lot during the Mormeck and Thompson fights, you need to get your eyes checked.

Im talking about Wladamir fights in general, as soon as someone tries to fight on the inside he holds, just watch even the Rahman fight, he holds down the neck, puts all his body weight. Hes even wrestled boxers down to the floor, im just wondering shouldn't the referee do something.

Ive got a feeling he will try doing the same in the Wach fight, hold him when he gets close and wrestle him to the floor. Shouldn't a point be taken off?.

    Should it be allowed.

In his most clingy fight Wlad only clinched on average 11% of the time.

Compared to an other ATG, he really doesn't clinch a lot.
But it's probably also because not many dare to get in range of his right.

Huh? Holding is specifically against the rules.

Of course Wlad does it too much, but it's also partly because so many of his opponents go "inside and then down." (like Mormek) - This gives Wlad only 2 choices: Pull back hard & waste energy, or drop his arms and look like he's holding.

So sometimes he's guilty, but often times it's not his fault.

In professional boxing holding is a part of it. Nothing wrong how Wlad uses it.

And Wlad does not won because of holding. He knocks his opponents out or win on points because he punched the most.

Lets be truthful here, Wlad does put all his body down on opponents, In all his last 5 fights he has tried to throw opponents down, wrestling them, I know holding is allowed but I am talking about the wrestling part, constantly pushing the head down. how he puts his opponents neck under his arm and puts all his weight. I think it is using an unfair advantage, thats my opinion and I think the referee should do something when Wlad goes too far.

16 clinches in 1st round to many against so over matched opponent!!! Dont tell me Momeck clinched because even if he wanted to he cant clinch if Wlad wants to keep him away with a jab, but that wasnt the case so there was 16 in one round:patsch

holding should be banned. its supposed to be against the law, yet its so rare people lose points for it.

Its unfair that boxers win fights by winning fights on the outside, then tying fighters up when they get in close.

Fans that are for it, its usually because there favourite boxers do it.

And don't get me started on how boring it can make fights when too much clinchng is going on.

the 2nd rule of boxing is no holding, letting wlad hold is ridiculous.
