i reckom cleverly may soon be the number 1light heavyweight

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by underachiever, Oct 11, 2012.

  1. My boxing intuition tells me that cleverlies gonna become a fairly big star , i recckon he,d lose catchweight fights to Ward or Dirrel , and probably Froch but he may just get Froch when he,s a little older and sneak that 1 .

However he could be lucky in his division a dispirited dawson and pascal and travoris cloud i reckon he coould pip those guys ........

Bold prediction 2 years time nathan cleverly lhw number 1 unless andre ward is fighting at lhw or a real quality lhw emerges....

It's an absolute graveyard of a division. And while it's not his fault he's not getting acceptable (for the fans) fights,it wouldn't be much of an achievement if he got the top spot.
In top level boxing terms of course.

I think Tony Bellew would beat him convincingly in a/the rematch.

Depends on if he's willing to step up and fight someone with a pulse. He could beat a demoralized Dawson, a 4-round fighter in Pascal and a slightly overrated puncher in Cloud. I wouldn't favor him against any of them, but I wouldn't be shocked if he won either. The division is awful right now and he could rise to the top, so long as Ward doesn't move up (which he will).
