Why do you think Ward will never be a superstar like Floyd?

They said Floyd...he would never be a PPV star...Ward has more chance all he needs is a built up opponant....Ideally if he had fought Bute the hype would have been there (USA vs Canada). Plus a better promoter like Arum/ the old Don King...knows how to match make...then a good PR team....Ward seen at an oakland raiders game on the big screen...or on a tv show with his christian brother Tim Tebow...then fight American Cloud for all USA showdown...orbe the first man to KO Bhop....

You beat me to it :deal

I would also add that he doesn't talk smack like Floyd does to sell himself. That makes him liked that not. Many people watch Floyd to see him lose.

Andre Ward is too humble. Guy is just too neutral on his character. Ward is one of those guys who does not make big number about himself. Sounds crazy but that is how it is.

I dont know, Ward came along in wrong time when there was not big names on his division who he could have beat?

Real boxing fans recognise him thou, Ward is the real deal.

    :patsch

Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Joe Frazier and others were all humble.. and they all were bigger names than guys like Floyd Mayweather.

Man, i dont know, that was just guessing..

Maybe they had more friendly fighting style? And Ward lacking known names at USA to have rivalries?

That said Ward's last fight was pretty damn good but most of his fights just dont strike on big audience..?

Ward will do just fine. You don't need to adopt a 'heel' character to be succesful.

Because Floyd works hard at selling. Ward has a simpler idealistic view just like Rioz; people will want to watch me as long as I perform well.
