Amir Khan the real truth!

^^ A lot of truth in that post. I'd say, roughly, about 80% of my Pak!stani mates dislike Khan. In their case, it has a lot to do with how he supposedly conducts himself.

 

Some my own people are dickheads, Khan is the only Pak istani British star, not supporting due to his personal life is a bit unfair, but his sporting life Khan ducks no one and fights anyone put in front of him win or lose.

Why do you think that is Rico? Does he not conduct himself in a way that stays true to his Pak-istani roots? Or do they dislike him for the perceived arrogance that has a lot of British fans disliking him?

 

Nah, it's nothing about sticking to his roots or anything, qwert. They believe he's living off a fake persona. He's been tagged as this Pak!stani Muslim rolemodel -- whether he's asked for that or not -- and they know he's anything but that. The arrogance, flaunting his success/superstar status (which fuels a bit of jealousy), etc, are further things that make it harder for them to warm to him. So yeah, ultimately, they share the same feelings as the rest of the Brits who dislike him.

Which I personally think is a bit harsh, considering he's only doing what most of them would probably do if they were in his shoes. Being young, good looking, famous and filthy rich, makes it hard to remain and act a saint 100% of the time.

That makes sense. Seems like he's caught between two personas a little bit. It's strange because Khan always draws a big crowd when he fights in the UK. Maybe that is due to his fame attracting the casual fans, or people hoping to see him lose like Floyd.

Amir khan is not popular with British ****stanis at all, he is seen as arrogant and flash. It's unfair because I don't think he is arrogant and he tries to be a good role model.

In fact David Haye is more popular as he is more exciting, also from the past Nigel Benn was very popular and Prince Naseem was popular.

I would say Amir is more popular in America than he is in the UK.
