A couple of americans who maybe able to do something, and a lot of older guys near the end, like vitali. Wlad could have a hell of a lot of decent challenges if he goes another 2-3 years
Take Dough Boy and Tyson "Not So Furious" off the list, and I'm with you. Jennings is getting stronger & smarter, and Wilder may actually fight a real opponent by the end of the year. Also don't count out Bogdan Dinu, who would probably be the HW champ right now if he didn't have a good job with the military. He may step up soon, as he evidently has a new promoter, and they will likely push him to commit. I also wouldn't count out Larsen, even though he only has 5 good years left at best.
I agree. After probably the worst era in heavyweight history, things are looking up. Chisora, Price, Fury, Perez, Solis, Pulev, Mitchell, Jennings, Boytsov, Scott, Wilder, Ruiz Jr., Hanks, Flores, Fujimoto, Glazkov, Cammarelle, Abdusalamov and so on, are all bright prospects who are yet to reach their prime. Things have definitely picked up.
Another stiff eastern European bum. If he follows the eastern European stereotypes, he probably has absolutely no heart either. Far too easy to hit, poor footwork and a lack of power. He'd lose every round to Chisora, who you dismiss.

I don't know if you've seen him, but I like the look of Ruiz Jr.. The problem he's got is his weight. He's a chubby ****er but he hits hard and has got extremely quick hands for a heavyweight. Take 30lbs of fat off him, replace half of that with muscle and he'd be a formidable fighter. Hopefully he does improve his weight because he's got a lot of raw potential.
You don't rate them? Hanks is a good prospect. Good footwork, pretty good hand speed. He's got a lot to learn but he's developing well. Listen to what people who are around him all the time think. He's a good prospect. Fujimoto was a good kickboxer and he seems to have adjusted well to the pro-boxing game. Welliver isn't the greatest fighter but he is very tough and experienced. Fujimoto handled a 65 fight veteran well, in only his 5th fight. That's not something to scoff at. You're just mad because Helenius is garbage :bart
While the new crop coming up def seems to be a breath of some fresh talent.... I think the problem in the heavyweights this last era had less to do with the contenders talent, and more to do with nobody would fight eachother. Dont get me wrong, this new crop just might make the last era look like the weak division everyone claims it was/is, but it wouldnt have been half as bad had contenders actually cared enough to duke it out with eachother. So in order for this new era to surpass the last one, it will take more then just having more talented fighters, they actually have to fight eachother. just imo

No one thinks Hanks is a good prospect. I don't know anyone who is high on him. He can beat those bums but he will never be a top 10 fighter. Nothing special in him. Fujimoto is way too small to be taken seriously. Welliver has no punch at all but he was able to rock him couple of times. These two will never be at the same level with Helenius. Never. + Abdusalamov is nothing but a raw puncher with very limited skills. McCline already showed us what happens when he steps up.
