    I already said that I don't agree with the stoppage, but Pat Russel the ref made a very good case for stopping the fight.

    This fight should be a message to everyone, that you shouldn't fight Rios unless you have a huge co-promotor.
    If this **** went the distance like in the same manner of the previous rounds Rious would have won a ****ing decision, I have no doubt about that.

    I think it was a quick stoppage. Mike was hurt. but his eyes were ok and his hands were up. He should have taken a knee. The ref could have given him an 8 count. This is a fight worthy of a rematch.

    Rios fought back though. Alvarado was in trouble, heart was keeping him up but surely he would only have taken more? Rios didn't look particularly fatigued, in fact he landed about 7 unanswered hard shots before the stoppage.
