Having a size or power advantage is a part of the game. Just as is having faster handspeed or reflexes than other fighters. Everyone maxes out in size too. I wouldn't go above 122 if I were Donaire's team. And if he does go to 126, and loses, certainly wouldn't indicate Donaire as being exposed, a fraud, or overrated. I think us real boxing fans need to choose our words more wisely. Too many of the young noobs follow suit and start tossing them around in overkill.
Donaire isnt overrated, he just relies too much on his power. If he just boxed more, I think he would probably KO most if not all of his opposition. That said, I want to see him against this style tonight.
Yeah I agree, Nishi went belly up. I still think Donaire is a flawed fighter. I'd like to see him fight Mikey Garcia or Moreno. If he beats either of those guys, I will admit I am completely wrong about Donaire. BTW I think Rigo is like 10X more overrated than Nonito. Donaire wins that fight easy IMO.
how can nishi perform when he was so afraid of the left of nonita to the point that he was almost shelled like clottey but when he decided to engage starting the 6th he paid dearly for it.
He just doesn't fight he wants that one punch KO always instead of trying to box and land more punches, but would like to see him fight Mares, Moreno, Rigo and Arce, he just doesn't like a good fight most his fights are boring, he doesn't have an inside game
Against 'lesser' opponents Nonito goes out to put on a show. He is THAT good. Damned people don't seem to actually pay attention to his fights.
His speed and good power is not overrated. The only thing he's overrated to me.IS BEING A PPV STAR.Somehow he has to make himself marketable. His fights are boring but is getting exciting.I thought this fight with NISH was anyway. He has to work harder to get those PPV slots by being more explosivo!!
