He may have fought guys you think are awful, but he's also fought some top guys over several divisions. I have no problems if Donaire wanted Rigo, but this 'He HAS to face him' **** is pretty baseless. Rigo can make himself the mandatory, or simply beat the other Sprbantams. He should be active, not waiting for a shot.

Beating Cordoba in his 7th fight isn't proving anything?

What top Bantam did he face? Montiel wasn't better than anyone in the tourney or Moreno.

It's a great result, but proved him not ready for the pro elite. Maybe he's come far enough since, hard to tell, even some questions after Marroquin

He was at least on par with those guys, had beat #1 guy at 118 + 115/112 cred. They were tied up in the tournament, Nonito kept moving up. They went along, they'll meet up if promoters allow it

Jospeph Agbeko wants to fight him. Why is Rigondeux ducking Agbeko?

Let Rigondeux beat Agbeko and then he can fight Donaire.

Arum isn't protecting Donaire from Rigo. Arum is protecting Rigo.

Rigo is 32 and a devastating lost to any top guy and his career is down the drain. That is why you haven't seen him against any top guys yet. Arum knows Rigo ain't ready.

I think Donaire should face him but it makes sense if Rigo were to face someone in the top 5 first. Solidify proof for the effectiveness of his excellent skills, and make more of a name for himself to entice viewers.

Right, so after Donaire trashes the consensus best fighter at 122, suddenly Nishioka was old, rusty, past it, and the fight was fixed, matched carefully whatever.

Donaire just stamped his mark as number 1.

The rest are just there to try and take it away from him.

Now there are a lot of challengers in the field. I myself would like to him against Rigo, but I won't go on an idiotic rant about ducking when he chose not too.

As a lot of people pointed out, which up to this point has no credible answer, is how did he deserve it? Rigo should do his part and try to build himself with another marquee win of his own. He wants to fight an established P4P fighter and he himself isn't the most established at 122, and he claims he's being ducked? Hilarious stuff.
