Matthysse doesn't have great defense, but he is excellent at keeping the fight in his preferred range. He will knock Rios the **** out.
Matthyse is the bigger puncher of the two, probably has a better chin, and is better defensively. That's not to say Matthyse doesn't get hit, but he does a better job of blocking/picking off shots than Rios does. Walking through Alvarado's right hand is one thing. Walking through Matthyse's is something COMPLETELY different. I stick to my pick. Matthyse by KO. It'd be a SAVAGE fight though. One for the ages.

Mathysse is not just a crude slugger. While Rios would be throwing strictly head shots. Lucas would be killing his body. Mathysse would break Rios down.
Matthyse also has the best left hook to the body in all of boxing. Rios has a damn good chin, but I'm fairly certain he can be hurt to the body.
Would love to see this fight. Who is Matthysse's promoter? You always have to ask and hope it's not GBP when talking about a potential opponent for a TR fighter.
