Rigo is not even fighting Poonsawat, his number 1 challenger at his organization.

He has to fight the obscure number 50 Ramos, or Teon Kennedy

Only a Filipino wouldn't be able to see this blatant duck.

Rigobum has'nt done **** to deserve a fight with Donaire.

This cuban bum with his 11 pro fight thinks he's an elite already. LOL

Rigo brings no money, no fan base, and no significant achievement as a professional to the table. Versus a multi weight champion who has beaten better than the Cuban has faced.

So again, what has Rigo done as a professional to make Donaire scared? Labouring to a points win over Cordoba? Battering Willie Casey?

Let's be fair here. He has to earn the fight, Donaire doesn't have to give him ****.

Yeah, good point. But I can understand Nonito's point of view. Lance sums it up well:

    are you serious?
vasquez jr and mathebula are within the top 10 in that division while at that time donaire was moving up.
meanwhile rigo is fighting half of his fights at 122 with no namers aside from ramos and maybe cordoba

And Ramos was lucky to even win that belt considering how he won it. Appalling fighter.

The ams have actually ruined quite a few for pro boxing because it is a different game. It is all about 'touching' someone with the white part of the gloves, not fighting. Guys get enamored with their speed and never learn to throw a proper punch. No follow through/leverage because it is actually counter productive in the ams.

Teon Kennedy was rated 14 in tbe WBA when Rigondeaux fought him. Blame his promoter for the shitty match making. Arum could build Rigondeaux up by feeding him Arce, but instead is saving Arce for Donaire. Arum is a piece of ****. He could make the matches to build up Rigondeaux. He could match Rigondeaux with the guy who beat Montiel at 122 also. Yet he doesn't. Arum has a history of not really caring to build up his darker complectioned fighters, outside of Mayweather.

Cordoba is better than both Vasquez jr. and Mathebula.

Yes, Vazquez Jr truly showed himself to be top 10 in the division when he got knocked out by old Arce immediately prior to Donaire courageously taking him on.

You have been living in a cave, you obviously haven't watched am boxing since 2009. Fair point for when Rigo was an amateur though, it was a bit like fencing at times during those years. Even then you still saw Rigo dropping and stopping opponents in the ams.
