c No. The more intriguing fight was Bradley/Guerrero! Oh, well. Not a bad fight anyway. After all, Guerrero is an eleventeen-time, 4 division world champion, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
only way guerrero beats berto is by getting on the inside like collazo and ortiz and work on from every angle. berto has no inside game and can't deal with the pressure. if he chooses to box he gets dealt with by a mid round KO.
I favor Berto to win. Probably by stoppage. He was unimpressive against Zaveck, but Guerrero was also unimpressive and didn't seem to fight with the size disparity in mind. Unless Berto has gone to ****, he'll catch Guerrero with a shot that puts him in trouble and likely sends him away.
HBO triple header 11/24 - Guerrero-Berto headlining - Abril-Bogere - Thurman-Quintana 152lb catchweight
Honestly, neither of these guys possess the ability to be a threat to guys like Manny or Floyd, or any of the top people. This fight is for like sole possession of Level B Status With that said, clearly Berto's favored
Unfortunately that roids cheat Berto probably knocks Guerrero the **** out at some point between rounds 6 and 8. I'll root for Guerrero, but this is Berto's fight to lose.
I'll be rooting for Guerrero but I think Berto will take this. Good fight to look forward to, and it's not like it's signed on for January or some ****. Add it to a solid end of the year.
Guerrero does have a very good resume spanning multiple weight classes.... He gets a good amount of hate, some deserved by his recent "give me Mayweather" and "I'm the best out there," but a lot of it undeserved.
Guerrero's biggest criticism is that he habitually calls out the "big names" without having a qualifying resume to warrant himself as a worthy opponent to the elite fighters. His resume is extremely soft relative to his recognition amongst the boxing community, IMO.
