Depends on his motivation levels, Will he be able to go from getting paid six figure maybe even seven figure sums of money to earning 15 grand for a fight?

He needs to build himself up and get a few wins, I think he should target getting the british title once Price vacates it after he beats Skelton. All depends on whether he can get his license back though which is another debate.

The reality of the situation is this, Chisora will have to get used to earning 15-20K a fight because he's lost in his big fights, and he was / is not / and was never the ticket seller, he was just an opponent for the names

That said, its a rare thing that a large payday (im talking anything over 80K) can be a possibility in a British Title fight, David Price's popularity in Liverpool is soaring (as you know), if he can command a large gate against Chisora (my feeling is that he could) Chisora could well be paid handsomely for his efforts

Question is, who exactly is promoting David Price and what would happen if the BBofC mandated Chisora ??

Can't see Price vacating the Lonsdale after beating Skelton, he would still need one more defence to win it outright

I would NOT pit them against each other, simple as.

Sure it'd be a good fun fight, and then one of them is derailed, and the other carries on the same path they were on anyways.

You are not going to see Seth Mitchell and Deontay Wilder fight each other while they are still prospects, because it's counter-productive, and the americans are BETTER THAN US at promoting their fighters the right way.

    Price should fight Skelton-Dimitrenko-Helenius-Wlad

    Fury should go Chagaev-Adamek-Povetkin

At least one of them will win and have a "title" and THEN they fight.

  5. Agree with this. We always put our up and coming, potential World Champions against each other before they are anywhere near... Then justify it by banging on about Eubank, Benn and Watson.

Maloney would let Pricey fight Chisora, no doubt about it.

Easy enough win for Price. Chisoras durable but doesn't win rounds and doesn't have KO power.

No offense to Eubank, Benn and Watson, but what exactly did they achieve off these shores?

Those guys are British Legends, and rightly so but worldwide the perception is that they hid in the UK, and would have been no match for Jones, Hopkins and Toney

It's alright being in house back in the 90's, but in 2012 we want to see our guys on the WORLD stage, send them to America, bash up the yanks!

  8. Yea, all British fights are great but when you have 2 guys who can go further than that, leave them to get to World level before making the fights. Quigg vs Frampton is going to be another one that will derail a prospect.

    That's it!

Go make some noise first, then fight, and have the world watching.

  12. He's got himself into a cul-de-sac career wise. No recent fights of any note but has been hyped (by himself and Fat Mick) as the man who will take over from Wlad and Viitali, and soon. Any significant move up in opponent class could see him KO'd, effectively ending any chance of a World Title. So he is basically treading water, scared of losing and hoping that eventually he will get the fight he wants. * However, I don't think for one second that it is Fury who is holding himself back, I do think that he would genuinely take on anyone. Fat Mick knows that his meal ticket is one punch away from obscurity.

If I was in charge of Fury I'd get him to stop acting like a D head

I wouldnt let Price & Fury anywhere near eachother for the next 2 years.

If the promoters are clever they should just come out and say the TV networks, and politics involved mean this fight cant be made at this point.

There is an element of truth in that, and it also means neither party look like they are ducking the other.

Let each of them go there seperate ways, hopefully neither will lose in there next 3/4/5 fights. Let them continue the verbals. Id even make sure Fury gatecrashes one of Price's press conferences. Just to keep things ticking over nicley.

By the time they meet, if still undefeated. The country will be buzzing for this fight. Its worth a lot more than £500k.

I think I'd also use Tyson Fury as my Christmas tree
