Khaosai Galaxy vs Sung-Kil Moon

True about Galaxy not looking too great against Matsumura first time around, LEster.

though an average at best fighter, he was probably top 5 as far as Galaxy challengers go, which doesn't reflect well on Khaosai.

 

Let me just reiterate: Moon would bust Khaosai up. Contreras was at his best a weight above he fought Khaosai. Moon at his best a weight below he fought Khaokor.

Moon would stand up to Khaosai's shots, Konadu was a banger and he recovered well from the knockdowns. He'd push Khaosai back, smother him and hurt him with even grazing shots.

Khaosai was dropped and hurt in a few fights. Moon was probably the most naturally heavy handed fighter in super fly history, a similarly massive monster at the weight to Khaosai, and had a truly granite chin.

Great matchup for all of those reasons. Moon will ship some big shots, but he'd be able to implement his game more and not give Khaosai room to bang it out with him more often that not. His defence was shocking when on the assault but he had quick enough feet to step out of the way against a mid-range fighter so I'm not certain Khaosai lights him up from there.

Playing straight up and down is a bad idea against a Thai and although Moon throws wide shots he comes from all over the shop. Khaosai was not the master of creating space like his brother.

It is pretty tough...the fight above shows Moon getting hit by a quicker southpaw than Khaosai but a lesser puncher.

Oh, I was just making a quick joke at their names. I'd like to have seen a picture for a Galaxy vs Moon fight. Would have been cheesy as hell.

As for the fight, I've seen more of Galaxy and not enough of Moon to make a really good prediction. From what I've seen, I can't see someone throwing as many wild shot as Moon did, in front of Galaxy without getting KOed.

Khaosai was more flat-flooted, less fast but more patient. I think he'll wait for an opportunity, find it and land the home-run. I could definitly also see Moon overwhelm Galaxy, but I'd go with Galaxy by KO.

And I can see either outcome. But watch the most recent fight I've posted in here if you care to. I think it will reaffirm the opinion that Khaosai wins in his backers and cement Moon's chin (pun intended) as of the highest quality for his supporters.

I have both of on careers on dvd and think Galaxy kos him. Galaxy busts him up to the body and over a period takes him out. I though Khosai was better than his brother.

 

Do you ever think Khaosai was the no.1 in the division?
