Well stated. Ward is just a level above Dawson. Dawson's been hot/cold for the last few years. Nothing he's done when 'on' even told me he beats Ward.
You tell me- people like to say things after the fact and I'm just playing the game the same way all in all, ward has been vastly overrated in the span of one year
How do you figure? He has easily placed himself atop of one of boxings deepest divisions and thoroughly beat the best lightheavyweight who was also a top 10 p4p fighter.
I kinda agree and kinda don't. Some boxing writers have Ward at P4P 1 based on the performance against Dawson. Ward's a good fighter but beating a skinny Dawson doesn't much impress me. When Ward cleans out 168...he still got Direll and Bute remember....then we can talk out it. Until then....nah.
So, since Dawson was dropped in training for the fight, if he would have beaten Ward, would that have made it the GOAT win? How does that play any role in the legacy boosting or limiting impact of the victory? Oh, that's right, it doesn't... Ward is clearly P4P top 3, not just top 5. Kessler, Froch, Dawson, Abraham, Bika, Green, Miranda- all in the last 4 years while only losing a few rounds across all of them is mighty, mighty impressive.
Stopping LHW weight a little weight drained champion>chavez jnr high on weed and nearly KO'ing sergihoe at the end. Chavez jnr is **** by the way, just has lots of fans he is a hypejob, he barely won any rounds.
Ward didn't drained Dawson, Dawson asked for it. Now PAC on the otherhand is different, PAC drained Oscar though .
