In the last 3 years Ward has fought as good of comp as any fighter out there and won all easier than any other who who may lay claim to this. Combine this with his incredible skills and do you think a case can be made for him being the p4p best fighter in the world today?

Yes. He has easily accomplished more in the last few years then Pacquiao, Mayweather and Marquez. Some will say he beat mediocre fighters but his resume is not any worse then the three I mentioned. Ortiz, Margarito, Shane Mosley? Just sayin.

#2 as of now. As soon as Floyd retires for real though, I think he'll be p4p king for quite a while.

He is number 3. Definitely surpassed Pacman. Not PBF or SM though.

    Just makes the top5 imo.

I voted the 2nd option because that's the closest to the truth... no way he's #1

    1. Floyd
    2. Pacquiao
    3. Marquez
    4. Donaire
    5. Ward

I can see Ward as a future P4P number 1, but at this moment he hasn't quite got the resume of the guys I rank ahead of him IMO. Dawson was ranked P4P number 10 at the time they fought, but he was severely weight-drained when he faced Ward.

With out question ,Floyd should be dropped down due to inactivity ..I don't understand how anyone can have him at #1 with his cherry picking over a guy like Ward and what he's done so far ..

Nah, not yet. Top 5 is fair though. Think he's the obvious candidate to take over as p4p #1 in the next few years.

**** off. american super hype job.

he is very good, don't get me wrong. but he beat no one special. kessler had eye problems, and ward cheated, i mean head butted the whole fight. froch is a very tough guy with above average skills. dawson was ****ing weight drained. aa is to small and had no confidence ( in the first four rounds aa looked not that bad against ward, and he has average boxing skills). dirrell will beat the **** out of ward imo.

the smw division is extremly bad right now (talent wise).

if ward leaves his house and goes to lhw and beats dawson, pascal and campillo, then w can talk about p4p top 5.

right now he just gets hyped as the new american superstar

Dumbest post ever ! I love the fact the he beat no one after the fact !

Kessler was tipped to win the whole thing ,the super middleweight division was hot going into the super 6 ...

And Froch is a tough guy with average skills ? He's a 3x time world champ who just steamed rolled the highest ranked super middle in Bute ..

The Dawson fight was a decent challenge but to say he is over hyped is utter nonsense !

Funny how people can rip apart an already great resume ..And who the hell s Pascal and Campillo any ways they are no gate keepers to greatness !

I have Martinez at 6. He has good wins over Williams, Pavlik and Chavez, but Williams was overrated, Pavlik drunk and Chavez just isn't that good. Manny has a great resume going back years and should have got the decision over Bradley. JMM IMO beat Manny twice and has only lost since 2006 to Floyd, fighting quality opposition. Donaire is only just behind Manny and Marquez for me. He could surpass them if he cleans out his division.

    Boxing.com thinks so.

They have it Ward, Mayweather, Martinez then Pacquiao with Donaire rounding out the five.
