Burns is good, but not sure he can take on a beast like Bam Bam. Good fight tho.

:rofl Rios ain't a eurobum. Ricky would have to change his name to Racquel Sparks after Bam Bam steamrolls him. Haha what a joke pray Burns never leaves europe so he can keep feasting on hooligans the overrated bum.

Burns is massively under-rated. I truly would fancy him to win a close UD vs Rios.

talking about fighters who are 'under-rated' and 'avoided' but who arent on the international radar means they need to raise that profile

but those are two words commonly used to describe fighters who allow their promoters to chalk up padded records at home on their behalf

love to see a guy like ricky hatton actually try and educate young fighters about the advantages of joining a savvy and recognised promoter, but also the red flags to look out for with promoters who become gunshy about raising a fighters profile internationally - but bullish about promoting paper champs in their stable

If Rios cant beat Abril after weighing in at 140 in a LW bout, he definitely aint gonna beat Burns who will be bigger and stronger than Abril and as technically proficient

Rios is getting horribly overrated for beating a crude tailor made Alvarado, as soon he faces another pure boxer he'll lose again

He beat the #1 super-feather in the world (at that time) to lift his title, old Katsidis and then won what was seen by the boxnig press as a 50.50 fight with Kevin Mitchell. All in all it's not bad, although Rios would obviously be his best scalp to date if he took it.

Sure Burns is good at controlling range that's true, but what's not been said is that he is a tough little ******* himself with good variety and absolutely superb conditioning.

I think it would be a great fight.

Rios has been matched brilliantly against face first, come forward guys who he can outbrawl. The one time he was matched against someone with the tools to keep him at distance he was embarrassed by Abril. Burns has the skillset, ability, strength and size to keep Bam Bam on the end of his jab all night. Seriously, anyone who thinks Alvarado or Antillon are more accomplished fighters than Ricky needs their heads checked - Martinez, Katsidis, Moses and Mitchell is a better list of scalps than what those guys offer.

:patschCome on silly.Burns is shaping up to be a decent fighter. How the **** did it take Rios 11 rds to get rid of John Murray ON HIS own turf. What`s so good about Rios anyway?

    Rios would beat Burns down.

Let's not overrate Burns. He's a good fighter, but Assidis and Mitchell both suck.

I don't think you really believe that mate.Myself and some others have always been realistic about Ricky and his capabilities.

I'm not sure about this one but it seems to me that against Rios,if you can control the distance, you're halfway there.
Whatever Ricky lacks,he certainly has a superb jab and the ability to control distance.
