Is this THE Glencoffe 'Road Warrior' Johnson? If so, well done.

Johnson has looked pretty dire in his last two fights. He admittedly he was done after his last fight. The guy has won one fight at 168 since 2000 and he was losing that too.

This is not a good fight IMO. I fear Johnson is actually coming for the money which is a shame.

Glen Johnson should have stayed in retirement it is tragic that Johnson is taking this fight to simply put Groves over, when he packed it in he admitted his heart wasn't in it anymore whats changed in a couple of months?

Groves will have Johnson's name on his record but it will be a hollow victory IMO

Johnson should stay retired he can't be getting that much for this fight.

I am saddened that yet another fighter is coming out of retirement to bump up someone's record!! There's a part of me that hopes glencoffe gets a bit of hunger back and turns the clock back and beats groves although I can't see it happening!!!

Hard to walk away I suppose after his last couple of performances and probably wants to go out with a bang. I hope thats the case and he gives us one last great battle, leaving it all in the ring. I just hope he isn't doing it for the money or lives to regret it, would hate to see Johnson go down the same roads as Toney and Jones.

It's a good fight, and as old as Johnson is he will certainly test Groves, that being said I wish they didnt pick on fossils and let the man retire.

Agreed, its a good fight and it shows he is wanting to move on,its a step up for sure. Even at this point in his career old Glen is still dangerous and he will be coming to win.Looking forward to this one.

I dunno, I haven't seen Glen's last fight but the guys admitted he's done. The only thing here is Johnson's short right hand. Groves defensively isn't good bar a good display against DeGale.

DeGale's punches are wider so makes that job a little easier, Groves tends to be caught with punches that are short and straight and thrown from short range. He's go no phases in his defence, he relies on his feet more then anything but because of the wide stance it helps his power but leaves him at a disadvantage when closed quickly.

Sadly Johnson hasn't been that quick on the uptake of late from what i've seen, I think it's a good fight in terms of name but adds little value after Glen's last defeat and comments.

I expect Groves to pepper Johnson from range, varying his shots. Look the part, eat the odd shot but win. May win via stoppage late on which would look better and TBH that's what he needs. A stoppage win makes it a more worth while victory then a one sided points victory.

Id say unproven power or unproven against a decent level fighter his own size. Its ok having power but you have to be able to get those shots home without getting nailed yourself.

I hope Johnson is getting well paid for this.
