according to the promoter: "While trying to get someone to challenge Bryant Jennings for the USBA title on Dec. 8 at Temple University in Philadelphia and on NBC Sports Network, the following heavyweights said no to a fight with Jennings--Brian Minto, Fres Oquendo, Albert Sosnowski, Deontay Wilder, David Rodriguez, Tor Hamer and Mark di Mori." anyone know more about this?
Pretty sensible. It wouldnt end well. Need to get Total back in here to answer this one. It could simply be because DeMori has announced on twitter that a contract is being negotiated with him to fight Samuel Peter in December. Both are Don King fighters so you'd think it was possible to make.
You said he has been waiting for a break through fight and then he turned down his chance? atsch Then blame it on DK
I can assure you De Mori accepted it. I was negotiating the fight with Main Event Promotions. DKP knocked it back, saying they had plans for him. There's some talk of a Sam Peter comeback fight.
Donny Boy aint stupid, Bryant Jennings would destroy Mark.... But hats off to Mark for wanting to take the fight :good
Thanks for the update Ippy. But I think Sam peters might be just as dangerous, he comes out hard against lesser opposition
He's a self trained body building sand groper who occasionally masquerades as a heavyweight boxing contender. Paraphrasing the Purple Boa Man's words, " I've achieved everything I wanted in boxing now I just want to be an entertainer " :verysad
Definitely a tough fight mate, if in fact it comes off. We knew Jennings was a hell of a hard one too, especially in his home town, but it was too good an opportunity to turn down. Especially with it being shown live on TV. We had a deal agreed inside a couple of hours. Hopefully DKP stick to their word.
i talk to Mark on FB and he said he wanted the fight and accepted but for some reason other parties stepped in and stopped him dont understand the hate for Mark... ****ing top bloke, nice as hell and works his ass off to be the best he can does that sound like someone to dislike? wouldnt have thought so
I doubt he'll have a fan left if he fights another can after foregoing Bryant Jennings, King or no King.
