I love JMM, but what has he done to merit being top 5 P4P?

So why hasn't Pac been dropped beneath him? Pac should be 6 - 10!

He is mexican...and with 100 million fanatic mexican fans... they throw Marquez a bone $$$$ and pretend he is the greatest of all time.

His fight with Mayweather shows how limited he is when he is not fighting Manny

yeah i kinda agree, he has amazing skills, just that his run of opponents for last few years has been pretty mediocre. Mayweather, avg opponent, avg opponent, avg opponent, pacquiao, avg opponent, pacquiao. He should have fought one of the 140 guys like khan bradley judah when he had the chance to capture a 4th title.

Beating the #4 p4p makes him #3. Pac is no where NEAR #1 or was never #1 in the first place.

That's a good question, I'm also a fan of Marquez. TBH I have never given much credence to P4P rankings, I've always viewed them as a popularity contest mixed in with a fighters recent accomplishments, but mostly a popularity contest. In Marquez's case it may have more to do with who he has fought, as opposed to who he's beaten in recent years.

I never thought i'd see the day that someone would be so ignorant as to refer to Juan Manuel Marquez as "limited".

It showed how technically perfect Floyd Mayweather is. There is no disgrace whatsoever in losing to him.

This is the justified end of a thread, if I ever saw one.
