Also do you think these 2 are p4p the greatest fighters that ever lived? Whos better who would win?

Ok they both fight at as similar weight as is possible as close to each others primes as possible, this is hypothetical to see who is better.

Ray's prime was at 147, and Roy's was at 168. It's just not a fair fight. Roy was too big and too talented.

    Too big ? - Yes

    Too talented ? - No.

Leonard was just as talented, pound for pound,as Jones.

Jones. Too big, too atheltic, and if this were a prime for prime matchup, there really is no feasible catch weight for them to meet at given that Roy's best weight was light heavy while Ray's was welter... Some matches just can't be made.

So what we're doing, is basically creating a hypothetical scenario where a 1982 Ray Leonard makes an early Jump to Middle, while a 1998 Jones shed's some weight to go back to 160.. Okay, well this still isn't exactly a prime for prime matchup, given that both men would be taken out of their comfort zones and furthermore we never saw them make these transitions when at their best... but I suppose it might even out the playing field somewhat. I would still favor Jones, but give Ray the benefit of the doubt that he'd survive the distance and steal a few rounds along the way.

We could always imagine a prime Leonard at 168 and vice versa for Jones at 147 ?

Comparing a Roy Jones MUCH BIGGER than Ray Leonard, is akin to matching Roy Jones with a Joe Louis...In a fantasy bout they should fight at their "prime" weight, otherwise
the thread is meaningless...EXCEPT FOR HEAVYWEIGHTS where a man of 195 lbs or so ,as a Dempsey, Louis were strong enough to beat anyone in a HW match as what they lose in BULK they make up in speed and agility...

And Roy came into the ring at 180+ in his prime. That's at least 30 lbs on prime Leonard. Sugar doesn't stand a chance in this one.

Prime for prime is a no contest - equal talent big size difference.
I can only imagine this match-up being interesting in one way.

Leonard makes his first defense off his newly won middleweight title late 87 or early 88 vs the Jones of the first Hopkins fight.

In hindsight i believe Jones would have done what Norris did four years later not necessarily to the same extend but still won decisively.
It would would surely not be seen as mismatch up-front and i would not be surprised if Leonard would a have been the betting favorite.
