Where is the button? Is it on the point of the chin? Do you have to hit the point of the chin "upwards" to get the KO? Are the temples a good place? What about the side of the jaw? Am I supposed to make the head shake in the most violent and sudden twisting motions to get the KO? - Or will a direct powerful hit without violent twisting cause enough impact of the brain against the skull? Where else on the head should I target for the KO?
spar and find out. I personally like to target the bodily organs. You can't really aim for certain parts of the head due to your gloves. The nose is the easiest target for a KO because a bloody nose gets a fight stopped very quickly in the amateurs, and it's easy to hit. The question is pointless because you're almost never going to target a certain spot, you're going to be trying to land punches in general. It's boxing not karate.
There is a nerve where the mandible attaches to the skull. When you compress the jaw, or swing it from side to side, it hits that nerve and its lights out. Also, acceleration to the brain. Hitting the jaw causes the skull to pivot on the spine, your jaw goes left, but your brain goes right. If your brain goes right fast enough it smacks against the side of the skull, and you're ko'ed.
