My best guess is some mod thought he was stopping a baseless rumor. Don't really know.

According to one of the sources, Morales tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol, which is typically used for breathing disorders but also is used as a weight-loss aid.

I do not believe his entire career is an asterisk. He's 40 and has just recently begun missing weight. The drug is for weight loss. Not okay by any means, but I don't think Erik's career comes into question.

Boxing should mandate VADA though, seriously. USADA/VADA are exposing Peterson's, Berto's, Morales'... this is needed.

He didn't pass over 500 tests. He didn't have 500 tests; nowhere close. That's his PR machine at work.

The most generous figure is somewhere around 260 (unfortunately for Lance and his fanboys, most of these organizations keep records), over 17 years (avg. ~15.3 per year). Many of those didn't test for EPO. Many of those didn't test for HGH. Quite a number of them weren't actually 'drug tests' in the conventional sense of the term, more like 'health checks'.

Secondly, he definitely failed one for corticosteroids (but a back-dated prescription miraculously appeared 6 months after the event); and there's strong evidence he failed at least three more, but it was hushed-up.

So to say that he passed over 500 tests is wrong two times over.

Morales just turned 36 and is only about 5 months older than Mayweather Jr.

Diuretics can be used to cover up evidence of other illegal substances.

He was taking commission tests, as soon as he takes a USADA test he gets busted. I'm sorry all his victories now come into question. It's only fair on the other athletes who have gone through the same thing. Just because it morales we can't now turn the other cheek.:deal
