If Ward doesn't need any help it's actually even harder to understand why he won't shut up his critics and fight abroad... He would get a huge paycheck if he fought Kessler in Europe.
I don't agree with Ward bein at home all the time. I just don't see why judges anywhere else would go against him in any of his performances thus far. And why rematch Kess anywhere? He beat him pretty lopsidedly. He don't owe him anything.
Ward himself said they have unfinished business. Maybe you don't care about a rematch, but it would be huge in Europe. Ward would earn a huge paycheck and he would set the record straight. Kessler was the champ and came to Ward. If you add in the "accidental" butts I would say a rematch sounds like the right way to go.
I don't mind a rematch, I just don't see it as necessary. I don't think Ward won cuz of the headbutts, tho they obviously ain't help Kess. If he beats Magee, I'd rather see a Froch rematch than a Ward rematch tbh.
amazing fighter, he is battling with martinez on the p4p lists. it's just that staying in the same arena is hilarious. we all criticised on calzaghe/sturm/dariusz/ottke in thier times. but still they couldnt sell out a crowd as much than thier hometowns. ward can. he has the world at his feet and wont even open the front door. even chris eubank the man who said the phrase "i am the king you have to step up to me" went to germany, portugual, south africa. it doesnt have to be in some football stadium in ghana or an ex-soviet collisium. why not msg or las vegas. nobody is saying he should fight kessler in denmark. just not that ****ing oracle stadium.
Hope to see Kessler rematch both Ward and Froch before he retires. I agree though, a Froch fight seems more interesting at the moment.
Great fighters do not hide in their hometown. The son of god is very skilled but lets see him do it in Canada or Europe. If the fight he had with Kessler was in Denmark, he would have been dq'd.
In Canada, against who? There are no Canadian fighters on his level. He could potentially go to Denmark/England and beat Froch/Kessler to prove doubters, but that'll probably cost them a lot to get him over there.
He really doesnt need your respect.. you sound just like Kessler.. Who at any chance he gets to speak on Ward he picks against him in bouts and downplays Ward's Win against him.. On tha Real anywhere on the planet Kessler gets Worked over by Ward.. What is so unfinished about a Kessler who could not get off his one two, combinations or any recognizable offence against Ward.. Kessler calls it a bad night for him... but its funny how every fighter that fought Ward after Kessler have been struck by the bad night fever.. Just know if their ever is a rematch No matter where it is.. Ward is going to prove a point in Humbling fashion.. Everyone knows it but the Kessler fans and many Euro's.. Please beleive Ward has been hearing all the indirect **** Kessler has been talking.. Possibly a beatdown in Denmark is in order..:hey
Its not like he is fighting with a bunch of incompetent judges or a YMCA referee. The California State Athletic Commission realizes that Ward fights are a big deal. They bring it outside help to call the fights like judges from around the world/Steve Smoger from New York, etc. So I do not see what the big deal is.
its bull****. hometowns mean nothing. an ass beating is an ass beating no matter where the fight takes place. as if they have to play call during the fight like its the nfl or some ****
:deal Smoger is one of the best currently and no funny business with any of his fights.. The only big deal come from the list of butt hurt fans of Wards opponents.. When they cry Ward threads become 14 to 20 pages long. on some crybaby ****... :!:
I think Ward needs more fans who respect him. I thought his fight against Dawson was a good fight, but hugfests like the ones against Green and Bika are no more interesting then watching paint dry. I hope Ward decides to prove a point and fight Kessler in Europe, but I doubt it :yep
First, if you look at the things he got away with in a number of fights (headbutting, elbowing, holding hitting, pushing against the ropes etc), you know he wouldn't have gotten away with it if he fought abroad. Second, take a look at the judges scores in his bouts. He never would have lost at home if a fight was even remotely close. America is as known for this as Germany. For instance, do you really believe Mayweather would have won the first Castillo bout if it was held in Mexico or even in Europe? Do you really believe Pac had lost his bout against Bradley anywhere else in the world? Third. Fighting abroad can be paralizing to some boxers. If you take a look at results from big name Americans who fought abroad for the very fist time you would have a good laugh (and not just because they got robbed). Fourth. Ward is a "world champion"... World means everywhere around the globe. Boxers from all nationalities get stick if they don't or only fight abroad occasionally, while Americans historically got a freebee on that because it is the "boxing Mekka of the world" because in the old days two Americans fought for the titles against eachother with a occasional European, Mexican or South American inbetween. Now that's slowly coming to an end, and now they get called upon it too.
