Everybody wants to win their fight you jackass, that doesn't give him a pass to use banned substances. If it was Garcia using he would be getting endless abuse. The people defending Morales here is pitiful.

If your thinking I'd be giving Morales credit over Garcia if the fight goes on well your answer is no. Doesn't erase anything he did in the past though.

Neither would I, other than the obvious that it can be very harmful for the body. I will say though if it is something like that to help him lose the last few pounds, then he does need to either go up in weight, or just retire for good. If his body isn't cooperating like it used to anymore, then he should listen to what his body is trying to tell him.

No **** maybe he had a salad with poppy seed dressing...Or had a poppy seed muffin...Or smoked a J to help with pain in the morning. Hell he could have taken a multivitamin that has recently been put on the banned list.

I'm only half joking, the point is there are a lot of different ways to fail a drug test, and it's not always because of PED's.

Does Lidocaine or the brand name Xylocaine count?

You are entitled to your opinion, but no longer have any credibility. You also shouldn't be questioning character when you yourself have none to speak of.

    You've followed his career right?

Which seems more likely, almost 20 years of drug use, with no lingering long term side effects or deterioration. Or a old man going for his last shot at a title/legacy builder who has had trouble making weight his last few fights, so he uses something to help make weight?

Honest question, which do you think is more likely?

Thats a good point, sounds like his desperation to win this fight got the better of him and took a risk. Still not excusable though.

You are right, as far as the public opinion, and whatever punishment is levied onto him. I personally though will not hold this against him, because I don't believe one stupid mistake should undo a entire a ATG/HOF career.

Has the substance found in his system been identified and released to the media yet? And what is it/what is it used for?

I agree with your point about no side effects/deterioration, but if this was Floyd or Pac it would be a completely different reaction. Their entire career would be scrutinized.

Taking your point about legacy builder/title shot, can you 100% say he was clean in the build up to the Maidana and Cano fights then?

    This.

I've not been following this thread but according to Fat Dan on ESPN what he tested positive for is supposed to help with cutting weight. Makes perfect sense really after what happened at the weigh-in for the first fight.

Personally I don't think this should tarnish his whole career like some people have said, he's not been roiding. It does leave a bit of a cloud over his ability to make weight in the past since he's always managed drain himself significanty at the weigh-ins but it's not like he's been boosting himself with testosterone. Either way what he had in his system was illegal so he should be banned if his 'B' sample comes in positive. Disappointing.

Btw what happens if the fight goes ahead and his 'B' sample comes in positive after the fight? Does the result become a NC?
