Yep, thanks for giving us the fights we really wanted you ****ing fraud. Top 20 ?... thanks for that golden piece of comedy.
How do we know for sure if he never faced his main rival when everything was on a plate for him to be great... mega money, worldwide attention, suitable style match-up, it was all there & he never did **** about it other than run his mouth... he ****ed up & should not be given the benefit of the doubt because he looks the best. Ps. Whitaker was still in his prime in 1992 so you`re way off with that 20 years comment.
That list was constructed ages ago. After his Cotto/Ortiz/JMM/Mosley wins, he's now top 20 in most experts' lists.
He can't retire until he fights Pacquaio. He talked all that ****, so he has to fight him. Then he can retire.
Pro boxing hasn't been around long enough to have too many "eras." It's quite clear Mayweather is the best of his, so, I don't see how top 20 ATG is controversial. Believe it or not, fellas, we've got TWO top 20 ATG's out of this era! People who don't list Mayweather AND Pacquiao in the top 20 are those incapable of recognizing contemporary happenings' place in history. That said, there places aren't locked yet as both have fights to add to their resume. All I've got to say, just wait 20 years, or 50...
Incredible career. He won't be appreciated until after he's gone, much like Lewis, or any semblance of a prime RJJ.
The saviour of boxing and I'm so privileged to a fan and part of Team Mayweather.:happy But if you think he's a top 20 at this stage you need a lesson in boxing history. His position may change and improve ten years from now,but using hard facts and logic,he shouldn't really be in anyone's top 35.
