How far can degale go

Hes no kid anymore, got the talent aye, but no heart. a thought he was gonna be a leg end a few years ago but everytime av seen him he disapoints. lost interest in even watchin the **** noow

 

Hes definitely a contender, possible fringe world level. I can see him getting a title shot but whether he wins one or not im not sure, still early days.

The best thing DeGale has going for him is his heart. Technically & tactically he is ****, but he has plenty of heart.

If's and but's, the lads a talent but talent has to be nutured and developed properly. World champion? i don't see why not but against the higher end of the division he'd struggle with his flaws.

 

hes got talent, but he needs to pick a style and work on making it work for him, he also needs to practice his punch form, its not hard to turn your hand over in a punch, do it everytime, and work on avoiding shots more, but picking a style would help with that

 

Groves is progressong better and deserved the win. I would expect Groves to beat him much more decisively after his performance at the weekend.

 

He has ability but lacks technique, he's got physical gifts he doesn't utilise because his style is a mess of different approaches, and he hasn't got the right team to help with those things. So right now his potential is limited. With better training, I think he could fight at world level.

 

I tend to agree with this, seems disorganised at times in the ring, sometimes seems awesome.
I think he needs to put a lot more roadwork into his training as he seems to gas a little during rounds and like to take a few too many breathers.
But the lad is seriously talented, he can go all the way.

 

:deal I do not know why people keep calling him talented. He should be blowing away his current competition if he is going to be a world level fighter. But every time I see him fight he seems to be struggling.

 

He's not much of a puncher, in fairness though. He won't ever be that concussive, aggressive fighter. Actually, his attempts to do that sort of rough housing are a big part of his problem.

 

I agree with DFT.

He's undoubtedly talented but his style is a mish-mash of various approaches, and he lacks the mental ability to realise where he's going wrong and fix it.

And this is out of the ring, never mind in a big fight when you're four-zip behind and need to sort yourself out.

He's clearly a lad that needs an arm around him, but there's surely a way for a trainer to basically sit him down, massage his ego a little whilst making adjustments.

Same as Khan in a lot of ways, though DeGales flaws are easier to fix/work around than Amir's.

 

Agree,he has it in his own hands. De Gale has it for himself to decide and he needs to make some decisions fast!
