Pazos is doubling jabs into the guard and then winging long right hands. Cruz is blocking but driven to the ropes. Pazos opens up with body shots. Cruz lunges forward to clinch. Pazos slows his output and Cruz takes over, alternating right jabs and hooks to the face. Cruz goes down in a messy exchange while firing and scoring with a left hand but eating a right from Pazos. The ref rules it a slip. Whipping right to the body by Pazos while veering around Cruz. Awkward clinch with Cruz's fist driven past Pazos' chin and under his ear, arm straightened out and locked. Cruz circles and jabs. Lead left and a quick right by Cruz, missing.

Round 5

Cruz jabs and dances away, ducking and swaying as Pazos lobs in power shots. Cruz bounces off the ropes and lurches in for a clinch. Right jab to the body by Cruz. High left jab by Pazos falling in, blocked as Cruz quickly skips off. Cruz circles right, checking Pazos' jabs on his right glove and shaking his head at him. Lead right to the body by Pazos. Cruz circles and blocks, then fires a quick right jab to the body diving forward before bowing his head and getting back in orbit. Pazos pulls Cruz's head down in a clinch and tries to chop down at hi but misses. Another attempt, and the ref gets between them and warns Pazos for kidney punches. Cruz picks his shots, working Pazos against the ropes with jabs and left crosses. He eats a right hand as Pazos fights off the ropes and is driven back.

Round 6

Jab through the gloves by Cruz. Pazos tries to clip a few to the body and then whack down at Cruz's head with a left hook, but is too slow. Cruz keeps squatting and sticking the right jab out straight into Pazos' chest. 1-2 to the front by Cruz. Pazos is pawing his jab and getting moved to the ropes, slapping his way off with big hooks that Cruz partially blocks. Long reaching jabs by Cruz while dancing on the outside. Pazos leads with a sloppy right and gets popped with two short counters. Cruz slams him into a corner with a straight left hand and follows up with a few missing shots. Straight volley by Cruz, landing.

Round 7

Pazos jabs and Cruz counters with his own. Hooks by Pazos miss from outside. Cruz dances back to the ropes but keeps his back off them. Pazos walks into a left hand and gets rocked back to the crowd's delight. Pazos keeps trying to set up an attack behind his slow jab while circling but Cruz is waiting and ready to duck and slip his shots and counter with left hands. Pazos reaches with a right scoop to the body, not quite getting a piece. Cruz bashes him across the Ford logo with a pair of right hooks to the jawline. Double left hand through the guard by Cruz. Pazos circles left and tries to fall in with some clubbing blows but gets countered by a right hook and left hand. Cruz is pushed into a corner where Pazos shoe shines his body.

Round 8

Cruz jabs the body from outside. Pazos chases and loops in lefts and rights, but Cruz is able to quickly duck back into a crouch from which he can spring up and counter before Pazos is set. Lead lefts by Cruz, following with the right jab to the nose to cover his tracks as he dances away after landing. Pazos paws his left jab out and tries to cannonball in with a right uppercut, but Cruz skips back and gets his forearms up to protect his face. Cruz is using rapid footwork to keep Pazos spinning and lunging. Counter lefts by Cruz over sloppy flailing hooks from Pazos.

Round 9

Cruz is taking long steps to his right and firing his right jab up over or just below Pazos' left armpit. Pazos' jab isn't reaching Cruz's face, and the hooks are even further off the mark. Cruz sticks his jab and circles, letting Pazos miss a few high right hands over his head while ducking. Cruz's own offense is getting sloppy, looping a left from outside but still able to quickly move away before Pazos can counter.

Round 10

Pazos is following Cruz around and lobbing in body shots, missing from outside. Right jabs up top by Cruz. Left uppercut to the body by Cruz. Double left hand up top by Cruz. Pazos puts in a right hand, blocked. Cruz shows a high right jab, not even grazing Pazos' glove, then skirts to his right around him. Jabs to the body by Cruz. Left hook by Pazos slapping down across Cruz's face as they simultaneously connect. Wild hooks by Pazos. HARD straight left by Cruz. Another. The crowd thinks Pazos is hurt. Right hook by Cruz leaping in. Now Pazos might even concede being hurt.
