Went on the website to check out the tickets (**** knows why) You can still buy 4 seats together, on the floor in zone A. Tickets available everywhere. I was quite surprised to be honest.
He was never like an instant selling cash cow. The Carson Jones fight didnt sell out either. I think they thought because his fight with Hatton sold out he'd sell out all the time. I don't think they realised how big the Hatton name is in British boxing. Matchroom always overestimate their "cash cows" contrary to what they'll have you believe, Froch isn't a huge ticket seller either.
Problem is theres not really any venues in Sheffield other than the arena to accomodate it. Think they've sold 7000 tonight and that is alot bigger than any other indoor venue in the City (i think)
Maybe the British public are finally waking up to this nonsense, these eliminators are joke we'll see how many Hatton has to have before he gets a shot
To be honest if they have sold 7000 thats still highly respectable imagine he was fighting someone had really heard of he could be a really big ticket seller
Nah.7000 is still very good numbers for this card.Hearn knows that Kell can`t sell out a arena on his own yet,but is building him to a point where he can.In a couple of fights if he has a word title he will get the missing 3000 that some people are so worried about going to his fights.
Yep,people just want to have a pop at Hearn but nobody has heard of Saldiva and i knew when this was announced that if they got between 6000-7000 they have done well.
How many does the arena hold? Interesting Hatton is supposed to be sold out but ticketmaster are still selling tickets for it.
As much as it annoys me i have to agree with this, but i think its more down to promotion than anything else Brook certainly hasn't proven to be a better or more exciting fighter I just wish Rickster was receiving the star sky treatment that Kell is getting
