After this Morales Debacle, are any of you STILL against random testing?

Look people.

Everyone is for a clean, fair, and even sport.

However, the reasoning and timing behind Floyd's actions are what makes it different. Why didn't he insist on the drug testing way back when he was fighting Corrales? Or Castillo? Why against Pacquiao? And for all intents and purposes, ate his own vomit by saying they did not mean to imply anything.

Hell, Donaire took it one step further and made it year-round. Why can't Floyd do that?

 

Why didn't pac set his own rules for overweight penalties before oscar? because he didn't want to be cheated by size. Simple as.

I'm for random testing, but the OP doesn't seem to get it:

Morales tested positive for a drug that help drop weight fast. That's only going to be used in the last week before a fight, so expensive random testing wouldn't turn it up, anyway.

So, what was the point, again?

Of course he'd have to ask for weight penalty because Floyd already have the record to showing up and not making the contractually obligated weight.

I think this shows that any boxer testing under USADA is suspect. If they can do two sample sets, not get the result they need, allegedly do a third test to get that negative, what were they doing in the past as they began this whole process?

 

Manny failed to make weight before too. Should Floyd ask for a weight penalty as well. There is nothing wrong with a fighter asking for additional testing that is better than the commissions. There is no problem with a fighter rejecting it as well. The problem with Pac is how he and his team acted regarding the request. That's is the issue.

 

It wasn't that expensive. Free to the fighters, in fact. Its USADA who charges $100K to VADA's $20K (when VADA isn't sponsoring fighters for free).
