    Look people.

Everyone is for a clean, fair, and even sport.

However, the reasoning and timing behind Floyd's actions are what makes it different. Why didn't he insist on the drug testing way back when he was fighting Corrales? Or Castillo? Why against Pacquiao? And for all intents and purposes, ate his own vomit by saying they did not mean to imply anything.

Hell, Donaire took it one step further and made it year-round. Why can't Floyd do that?

Why didn't pac set his own rules for overweight penalties before oscar? because he didn't want to be cheated by size. Simple as.

I'm for random testing, but the OP doesn't seem to get it:

Morales tested positive for a drug that help drop weight fast. That's only going to be used in the last week before a fight, so expensive random testing wouldn't turn it up, anyway.

So, what was the point, again?

Sanctioning body BS doesn't put fighters at risk of losing their lives.

Expensive random testing DID turn up the positive test, NOT Commission testing!!!

I guess it was just Pac that set off alarms with Floyd, never mind the fact that the MLB, NFL, Track & Field & Cycling were all beset by massive PED scandals in the years leading up to Floyd asking for better testing.

    Yeah, ok.

Anyway, the real question is why hasn't Pac taken part in ANY of this testing at all???

You really want us to go over through that again huh? :D

Of course he'd have to ask for weight penalty because Floyd already have the record to showing up and not making the contractually obligated weight.

When was the record before of positive PED use for Pacquiao?

I think this shows that any boxer testing under USADA is suspect. If they can do two sample sets, not get the result they need, allegedly do a third test to get that negative, what were they doing in the past as they began this whole process?

Manny failed to make weight before too. Should Floyd ask for a weight penalty as well. There is nothing wrong with a fighter asking for additional testing that is better than the commissions. There is no problem with a fighter rejecting it as well. The problem with Pac is how he and his team acted regarding the request. That's is the issue.

It wasn't that expensive. Free to the fighters, in fact. Its USADA who charges $100K to VADA's $20K (when VADA isn't sponsoring fighters for free).

This won't end here at this weekend.

He failed weight because he can't make it anymore.

Floyd signed a contract with a stipulated weight and still came in intentionally and just paid off the penalty.

    It's not the same.

However, I am in part agreeing that they could've taken a proper stance against the drug test.

Che Guevera, who missed the illegal handwraps in Margarito's gloves was promoted off that mistake to second in command of the CSAC. He now runs it. One of his first screw-ups? Chain of custody in a sample collection after a fight.

There was another unreported drug screw-up this week in another major commission.

The commissions need to be gutted.
