Chinny fighter, already hurt in the fight walks onto a shot as Kell's stepping into it... there was no fix, he just got tooled.

 

I dont have any major beef with Kell, his rivalry with Khan is simmering away nicely besides al the title talk.

HOWEVER?

I didnt think it was a 'fix' as such, but IMO the argie didnt fancy the job, pretended to be more hurt than he was, threw in a stagger for effect before pulling his gummy out so the ref had no choice but to stop it. AND then have a celebratory fist bang with his trainer:-(

Kell did what he had to do, but the other guy IMO obviously took a dive, IMO cos he was there for the payday... not Kells fault you understand, just one of those things that can happen in boxing.

 

It was a world title eliminator fight. No way would you take a dive after working that hard to get there.

 

I think Dunky's got a point. Regardless of how hard you've worked, when you lack the artillery to stay in the battle, you concede and hope you'll win the war long-term.

Not at all, & as I say I take nothing away from Brook, he did what he had to do.
I just think that the argie fella decided to cash in his chips early, & milked the KD for all it was worth. His legs miraculously came back the second the ref waved it off, the argie almost celebrated with his trainer & that was that!
The lad was glad to get home unscathed with a fat paycheque. Just my opinion fella.

If you want to think Kell has KO jab power? I wouldnt argue it. Im just saying what I saw, rightly or wrongly.

 

Any fight could be counted as a "world title eliminator", it doesn't really mean much these days.

That Argentine was a long way short of world class, and I don't think he had the same ambitions as Kell. Despite this, I agree he wouldn't have dived. It was actually a really well timed punch that put him over and if he was looking for a way out he surely would have gone down from something a bit more spectacular than a jab.

This was just a case of a crude, chinny fighter walking onto a very well timed jab.

 

How funny is this? People was saying before the fight Saldivia will knock Kell out. Kell will lose tonight. The fact remains as soon as your proved wrong now its the fact Saldivia is a bum.
