I'm a Devon fan but imo it was a boring performance in which devon even admit it he could have done better.

He looked awful, he's definitely uncomfortable without his personal referee letting him hold for half a mintue at a time

Terrible fight, but even though I was rooting for Devon to lose I almost kinda felt bad listening to the way the crowd was letting him have it, cause Devon's a nice guy in general.

I just haven't seen any progression out of Devon since the Urango fight, been closer to regression.

Tepid.... the only way he was going to lose was by opening himself up to Bailey's right hand.

    He didn't, and he won.

Wasn't one I ever expected to be a classic, he just isn't made for classic contests.

He got caught with it a few times including a similar uppercut he knocked out Mikes Jones with, didnt even make him flinch. So much for Baileys supposed p4p#1 power. Alexander got a great chin tho

Yeah no doubt, and at least Devon was affected by the crowds boos and didn't have the attitude of "I fought a safety first fight and won so I don't care what you think" type attitude.

Devon hasn't figured out his identity as a fighter in my view so that is part of why he seems to have so many struggles in his past 4 or 5 fights.

Missed the fight but all accounts describe a fight that i imagined

i predicted that Alexander would take no chances, outbox Bailey who wouldnt throw much and win a boring decision

Bailey is one of those guys drunk with his power who never quite learned to box

He had 1 great weapon and a chin to stay in the fight but was ****ed if he couldnt KO a guy

he spent a whole fight fishing for a right hand vs Jones and eventually he got it

I blame both guys, 1 isnt gonna throw til its perfect the other isnt gonna do too much since he will be open to the 1 guys perfect KO bomb

the styles pointed to a snoozer

Devon is a good fighter, but he doesn't like to be hit. He has a great chin, but he don't want it touched.

Sure it was a pretty boring fight, but I feel like he did what he needed to do. Devon tends to throw very wide punches at times and against Randall Bailey the last thing you need is to be caught with your pants down by that right hand. Devon went in there with a gameplan to nullify the threatening parts of Bailey and he executed it. Wasn't a FOTY candidate, but really how many fights are? A good win over a dangerous fighter.

I think by now when now Devon is not "the Great." He kept circling towards Baileys right hand and shooting a lead left to the body putting himself in harms way. To me he has the Jermaine Taylor syndrome somewhat; that jittery/nervous boxing when he is not fully in control of the fight.

He had a decent performance against Maidana which was part due to Maidana's lackluster performance but his previous gift decisions and this performance indicate that the jury is still out on him but not sure he is or will be elite.

I don't think he will be invited back any time soon.He should main event a card on ESPN-not Sho or HBO.The sooner someone takes his title the better.

I blamed Bailey more than Alexander for the lack of action, he threw less than 20 punches a round :patsch Devon's speed and athleticism were impressive as always (even if the yapping was annoying) and he took the handful of right hands Bailey landed really well, didn't even seem to stun him which was suprising. He seems to be more selective with his punches now than he was down at 140 vs Matty and Kotelnik too, less shoe-shining.
