It would be a HUGE upset, Nothing on the Tyson/Douglas scale tho.
More like Garcia/Khan level type upset.

The "story" would be monumental from a human POV for Pavlik.
(Rock bottom to amongst the best of his WT class)

I know what your saying and I agree that Pavlik will be in a very tough fight. What I am saying is I would not be that shocked If Kelly won somehow. I have been around long enough and seen enough to know better.

Ward is not a very hard hitter and he was rocked by a fighter named boone who is a youngstown fighter . And when he was rocked he stayed rocked and it was no massive punch. Pavlik said he is going to make it a fight and its not going to be a chess match. Keep in mind Pavlik has a chin of steel and can bang with the best of them. And Ward is not Hopkins and Pavlik is not Kessler or Froch.

He needs to step up his preparation for a fight like that by fighting other dangerous fighters. Its telling that he is not and I think his handlers feel he is shaky and they are angling him for one more decent payday. If he could make 160 again Martinez is a fight he would have a good chance with. I'm not seeing him as a serious threat to Ward.

Robert -- this is a very foolish post. It's the type of post that pisses me off on a daily basis; one where the author did absolutley no thinking.

Pavlik fought once in 2010, and once in 2011. His handlers did exactly what all handlers should do with an inactive fighter. They put him in an easy tune-up. Jaco turned out to be too easy. Consequently, KP did not get to do any decent work.

Right away Sigmon started running KP down on Facebook and twitter, so Pavlik said; "Ya know what; I'm gonna beat the **** out of that guy," and so he did. (Don't you wish you could get paid for beating up people when they **** you off?)

TWO ****ING WEEKS LATER HBO needed a replacement fight on short notice, and Pavlik and Rosinsky both jumped on the opportunity. That was a VERY smart thing for Pavlik to do. Rosinsky is exactly the type of fast-slick fighter people claim Pavlik has problems with. Will Rosinsky is a very good "fringe contender" type fighter, but Pavlik stayed patient, fought a very smart fight, and battered Rosinsky all over the ring for 10 rounds.

The current situation has NOTHING to do with cautious handlers, and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that Pavlik has been calling out Ward, Froch, Kessler, and Bute in every ****ing interview he has done since last March.

You're normally a damn good poster, so engage your ****ing brain before you engage your keyboard!

None of those fights really suprised me. I know full well that things don't go according to plan so when Douglas beat Tyson that was almost ordinary. I just watch the fights and see what is going to happen.

  9. I don't buy into the 'Ward is a super version of B-Hop' crap.

I'm not even sure Ward is a superior version of 43 year old Bernard that fought Pavlik.

  10. Bernard in his 40's against Pavlik imo looked better than Ward ever did (even during his Dawson fight).

The hand speed was shocking to see from anyone, much less someone nearing his mid 40's. Hopkins took a few punches from Pavlik as well, and countered with fast combinations that looked like something a young 27 year old WW would throw.

I never seen Ward look as good as Hopkins vs Pavlik, much less Hopkins vs Trinidad level. Once again, not saying Ward is not a elite elite talent, but just saying he still got a few more steps to take before entering B-Hop's aura.

Ward came out of nowhere, and dominated a very healthy division. Earlier in his career, Darnell Boone made Ward do a Zab Judah level chicken dance. Ward had to work his ass off to beat a version of Miranda that Pavlik had already ruined. Ward winning the S-6 was a bigger "upset" than Pavlik beating Ward would be.

If this fight happens, Pavlik will be Live Dog. If KP manages to win, I'll put the upset in the same drawer with Moyer over an old SRR back in the day.

If Pavlik wins there will be 50 "Ward Exposed" threads within two minutes of the fights ends and there will be twice as many on how shitty Pavlik looked and 4 times as many saying Froch would KO1.

Yes .......... there will be. If KP pulls this off, the next day the entire boxing world will declare Froch #1 and Bute #2 in the division. And, they'll claim that all of Ward's tough fights ruined him, and that's why Pavlik won. But, best of all, Dwyer's head will explode:happy

The fight hasn't even been announced and those two fangirls are already wetting their panties by the thinking of a highly improbable, i would say nearly impossible Pavlik win. :hat

They're also criticizinf people to do things they've done in the past. Memories are lost.

You two must be the biggest delusional ***s I've never seen.
