You are wrong about that, but sadly neither fight is likely to happen anytime soon Hopefully the Broner fight or a fight against another belt holder in 135 happens early next year, if a certain promoter allows it.
Broner does not have a bigger reach than Burns. I see no one on Rios or Alvarado's record who looks better than Martinez, Katsidis or Mitchell.
How many rounds do you think that future HOF'r Gary Sykes would have lasted with Broner? Given that the only reason the fight never happened was because Lamont tested positive?:think
Rios blocks punches with his face and is very easy to beat. He has been matched very well in my opinion to mask his huge boxing flaw. Against come forward brawlers he looks unstoppable, put him in there with anyone with a decent IQ and he struggles. Abril boxed his head off and all he could do was carry on plodding forward, no plan b, nothing. You only have to look at his last 5 fights, 4 of them where come forward brawlers and one was a boxer which he duely lost! Coinsidence? I think not. Burns is the type of boxer they would keep Rios away from.
