Holyfield has hinted at retiring when he turns 50 (Today), but he has not used the word RETIRE and if history has shown us anything, it is that if a fighter says "I feel ive accomplished everything i set out to in boxing" or "If Im not getting a title shot, I cant see a reason to continue" etc. he has NOT excepted retirement and will likely fight again. as a fighter, deciding to retire for good is one of the hardest decisions a fighter can make and its one of the toughest things to come to terms with.

When he was busting a nut in them hoes, he should have given a fake name and fake address. Or just paid for a prossie, it would have been far cheaper- FOOL:patsch

Now he is paying the price for his own over inflated ego and inability to think further than where he is next going to get his dick wet from:yep

I loved Evander in his day and he was an awesome warrior but right now he is becoming an embarrassment to himself and the sport.

At this point in his career any fight he has is just meaningless whether he wins, draws or loses...

I hate to say it but at this point I really wish he would just **** off..sorry.

^ no kidding, it's never going to end, Holyfield keeps calling out the Klitschko's ... but refuses to work his way up the ladder (his only chance at getting a shot)

I've grown tired of it 4 years ago ... yet Holy's still at it

Its crazy that he is still boxing, as punch drunk and old as he is. I can actually picture him boxing till 60 now. If he is not stopping now nothing will stop him.

Yeah Evander is no Mike Tyson in terms of public appeal so he just cant live off his name in the same way Tyson can, Tyson is a rich man again because of the intrigue the general still has for him where he gets to star in Broadway plays, movie appearances, media interviews in which he gets good money for where he can support himself and his young children.

So fighting on is the only way Evander can make some loot.

Even if he fought a klitschko now would anyone care?? 50 year old vs 40 year old..

Honestly even if he won against a klitschko would anyone care? I could envisage a sad scene of holyfield beating klitschko and then jumping up and down and whooping in joy while everyone walks out of the stadium shrugging their shoulders, completely indifferent to the win.

    Holyfield stop now you fool.

Yeah, There was not much interest even when he beat Valuev a few years ago it was no big deal to people even though he was pretty much robbed.

Its weird how little interest there is in him. If there was a live Holyfield fight on tv I might even change the channel. I was a fan of his, but now the idea of a Holyfield fight seems really stale.

I don't find it "weird" about the lack of interest in Holyfield. He's an old man fighting way past his expiration date, who can only get wins over fellow old farts. Take Evander's last two wins: he beat a 48 year old in his last fight and the win before that was vs a 44 year old.

Maybe Holy would fight opponents who are a bit more relevant, he could be taken more seriously as a threat to Wlad or Vitali
