He was sermonizing. They only had 8 minutes. Both people have to have their say.

And by the way all this **** on mundine being a good or bad speaker or terrible with words is catspiss.
He is an ex nrl footballer turned boxer.....not a english grammer teacher.
No decent sport loving person cares to much if the guy has good edicate or not.
He is paid to fight, not be judged by critics on his grammer.
What next???..We dont like his choice of clothing or footwear.

mundine is always good to watch boxing but he lacks intelligence wont make a great commentator or newsreader
geal boxes ok but i get bored waiting for a knockout that doesnt come probably could be a commentator or a newsreader
    i will watch them fight
couldnt bear to watch them have a debate it would be an unfair slaughter
so what is the point of talking about how bad mundine comes across ,its cringeworthy actually, he needs someone to speak for him i always feel a bit sorry for him when he puts the foot in the mouth
    probably i decent bloke
but i guess tough guys dont know they tough
and stupid people dont know they stupid
    natures way i guess

not really, when you are a proffessional role model you are expected to be able to articulate yourself, most athletes have to take courses in doing press conferences and interviews etc. i think the word you were looking for is etiquette? If he does not want to be judged on how he speaks then he shouldn't speak.

tc you are the only bloke on hear with half a brain.
You hit the nail on the head.
If mundine called an opponent a k9 there would be a ****en war.
The daily telegraph would give him front page with the words...
    Mundines dog act.:-:)-:)-:)-(

they are professional athletes, and therefore classed as role models, mundine is seen as an aboriginal spokesperson and a role model

i never said i agreed with it, but the perception is that of a role model, i don't see how that can be disputed, in australia particularly we love to put sports people on a pedestal. As you say, the have the same failings as the rest of us, but do you analyse every little comment i make as closely as say danny green?
