When will the myth that Khan was dominating or easily winning vs Garica end?

Garcia was missing wildly to that point ... it wasn't even a contest and Amir would've won via TKO if Garcia didn't land that blind shot

All Garcia has is that hook ... rudimentary boxing skills, no speed, mediocre footwork, no real defense

Khan was winning handily before the shot, but he was by no means "dominating", and it's obvious to anyone that knows anything about boxing that Garcia was slowly sizing him up and timing him.

The fight was close from the opening bell, yes Khan was out-landing him, but not by the misguided manner in which the HBO nutthugger patrol or the bogus CompuBox stats were trying to let on. Garcia landed a few good counters as early as the first round, which he wasn't given verbal credit for, which imo almost equaled the damage done by all of Khan's landed shots.

One of Amir's biggest problems is that he has this idea branded in his head that he is a power puncher, or some KO artist, he is not. This mentality is going to continue to get him into trouble, against anyone with good timing and some pop. As it pertains to Khan's boxing skill, in actuality he has little more then blinding speed with both his hands and feet, with little else besides. He has weak punch resistance, terrible defense, no sense of timing and no concept of putting good combinations together and drawing his opponent into engaging when he wants them to so he can use angles and have the advantage when he is on offense.

Hopefully he will retire before he starts to age and his athletic abilities start to erode, or he will be a sitting duck. And everything many on here say about his lack of boxing skill will be all the more evident. It's really hard to believe he has gotten as far as he has without the most basic fundamentals, so kudos to him for that, but he has waited until much to late in his career to finally get a trainer that can help him. I will say this though, god bless Virgil Hunter for trying, if he can pull off the complete overhaul he will be a shoe-in for trainer of the decade and the IHOF.

Anyone with even an elementary understanding of boxing knew that Garcia was clearly losing the first two rounds and already was starting to cut
