When will the myth that Khan was dominating or easily winning vs Garica end?

So you win round on getting closer and closer:huh

And I though punches had to land to count:shock:

 

It was edvident Garcia was shaking off nerves that came with being on the biggest stage in his life. Only 3 fights previous he was an absolute nobody. Fighters take a round or to get their bearings.
Garcia was warming up in the centre of the ring getting his rhythm landing a few clean shots that Khan felt. As soon as he got into the fight in the next round he stopped Khan and it was all over by the 4th.
Domination by Khan is a laughable assessment. I dont think a rematch between the two will ever happen

 

He has good footwork, accuracy and more overall skill than Garcia

Garcia was missing wildly against an old senile Morales until the KO

 

Angel Garcia tells Danny at the end of the 2nd round that Khan is taking him apart.

 

Also that shot Garcia hit Khan with on the neck would've finished anyone at 140 off

Getting hit like that square on the neck is almost like getting hit on the back of the head

Danny the Duck has also made it clear he wants to avoid Matthysse.

As a Khan fan, I personally hope he AVOIDS a Garcia rematch for at least his next 2/3 fights. He needs some time to learn how to settle down and stick to a plan, he also needs to learn to smother and grapple when hurt. I think a defensive minded trainer like Hunter will do him some good.

 

Anyone with a unbiased eye could see the shots that were landing by Garica were going to be the deal breaker for Khan. It was just a matter of time, he did win the first two rounds yes, but not too big a deal when you consider Danny's game in the first 2 was having the desired effect. He was inching in closer and closer, to where it only took him three rounds to get to where he needed to be during the exchanges. Garcia took his time, gauged Khan's power or lack thereof, and let Khan get his confidence up. Then once Danny had him where he wanted him, it was left hook city, and time to do the stank leg for Khan.

I will say, Khan's only rival I've seen come close to doing that dance with as much awkward brilliance is Zab Judah. As far as the stank leg goes that's quite a compliment, in all honesty though Amir is the best at it.

Danny landed 6 punches in the first round and 12 in the second, and missed a hell of a lot more.
