When will the myth that Khan was dominating or easily winning vs Garica end?

Has there ever been another time in boxing history where a fight has gone less less than four rounds, where one fighter was down four times and out on his feet for 1/3 of the fight while his opponent was never hurt and only had a small cut . . . yet the fans of the hurt fighter claim that he was in any way dominating.

    **** me :patsch

I must be ****ing boxing genius, because I stated Khan was going to end up on his arse after just having watched the first couple of minutes.

When you're fighting someone as fast as Khan it's going to take a little while to adjust to his speed and get his timing down. Garcia took about 5 minutes of a scheduled 36 minute fight to get this figured out perfectly, and these ****tards want to act like Khan was on his way to a TKO win.

I suppose that on a forum like this you need to get used to coming across people who haven't been following the sport very long or don't understand it, but it stills makes cringeworthy reading.

  3. Did you have Garcia winning the first two rounds or even have the first two round close, with Khan just edging it?

Don't waste your time cash. I'm sure he's just trying to wind you up and waste your time - no one can be that stupid.

Another joke. Khan was missing A LOT and was only getting credit by Jim Lampley and Compubox.

I had Khan winning the first two rounds. I also saw Garcia not being bothered by Khan's power and I saw his counters getting closer and new that it wouldn't be long before Khan left himself open for a big one and would end up in trouble.

It's a joke to say Khan wasn't controlling the fight for the first couple of rounds in a fight that ended abruptly.

The way the world is going I'm not so sure of that.

I really think the internet has made the world more stupid which is funny because you can learn about anything on here and is an information tool. Yet everytime I go on it I feel like my IQ drops a few points.

What do you think is more important in the first two rounds of a fight: Winning based on fast flurries that your opponent has not yet got used to, or making the mistakes and openings that your opponents sees and will later capitalise on to stop you two rounds later?

You're confusing yourself. He won the first two rounds, yes, but you're not controlling the fight if you're making the same mistakes over and over that are going to end up getting you knocked out.

If your opponent is ad******g to your speed, spotting your weaknesses and identifying how he's going to knock you out then you aint in control of ****.

This is what I saw..... More and more Garcia was getting closer and closer in landing his counters that were only available AFTER Khan began getting more reckless after success came so easily early on. By Khan taking extra and necessary liberties, Danny was able to capitalize on the opportunities.

Controlling, dominating, easily winning, outclassing...... Keep changing the world it still wont make it true.

It was a close fight the whole way Garcia was always in the fight and Khan had a slight edge because of his speed and workrate but Garcia was landing the harder shots and finally landed one that put an end to Khan.

Everything less than a good 5 or 6 rounds of boxing is much too short to talk about domination. If Pascal got KOed by Hopkins after 4 rounds in both of his fight, some people would've talked about him dominating, before being KOed by a lucky shot. Counter punchers take more time to get going because they have to adapt first. Just like Mayweather in many of his fights...

Same story with Vitali vs Solis. Odlianer was sure doing a great job... for less than ONE round.

Khan wasn't taking extra liberties - he was just warming up and fighting the same way he ALWAYS fights. Just as Garcia was warming up getting into the fight. Then when both were warmed into the fight Garcia timed Khan with his trademark punch and that was all she wrote.
