Víc is negotiating a fight in Russia against Alexander Bakhtin on the jones vs Lebedev undercard.
I was hoping for Rigo vs Vic in December.
    Let see WV2 maybe

How about if he fights Poonsawat, his number 1 ranked opponent in his own organization, instead of looking at the ranked opponent and pick the number 50.

Vazquez Jr the perfect opponent for Rigo if he really wants to set up a fight with Donaire

It's a risky fight, though. Papito could very well expose that fragile glass mandible

He should get a fight with Donaire before Donaire darts out of 122 like he did 118.

My thoughts exActly perfect fight but will the 30 something year old man fight a bum and wait for that retirement check or will he really test himself and set himself up for donaire with a good fighter.

That is bull**** from Donaire fans. You won't find many boxers in the history of the sport who beat two legit top 5 guys at their weight class in their first 9 fights. Cordoba, and Ramos were at least top five, probably higher when Rigondeaux beat them.

Arce would have been the perfect showcase fight for Rigondeaux. He would have destroyed him, but in typical Bob Arum fashion, he refuses to build up his black fighter, instead choosing to use Arce as punching bag for Donaire, the already established spanish speaking guy. So arce being a no go. Rigondeaux could make a statement if he was able to take out Agbeko. If Rigondeaux was able to beat Agbeko, and look good doing it, it would be a bigger win than any of Donaire's recent wins period. If Agbeko regains his focus, I would make him 50/50 with Rigondeaux.

Ramos was not top 5. He lost every second of his last fight and scored a hail mary left hook and was never impressive. Kennedy is a better win for Rigo then Ramos. AT least Kennedy throws punches.

    I don't know, but...

-Rico Ramos (good win, but he only had one significant win himself, the importance of which is diluted from Poonsawat-Lee-Shimoda... don't care if he'd just lost, Poon would be the best win of that bunch)
    -Ricardo Cordoba
    -Robert Marroquin
    -Teon Kennedy

...is not a good enough resume to warrant the hype and praise he has been getting as a professional. Whoever he fights next, it needs to be somebody that makes me impressed when it is announced. Darchinyan, WVII, winner of Rafa Marquez/Mijares, even Agbeko up from bantam, would all be good fights and the best opponent of his career.

edit: Agbeko called him out on the scene about two weeks ago.

Poonsawat is still one of the best W's you can pick up at 122.

    Got to agree with this.
What I said before. Poonsawat is probably too high a rish too little a reward.

But what might swing it is that Poonsawat will come foward no matter what. It would be a fan friendly fight that could raise Rigo's profile on HBO.
You just know Poonsawat woud march forward not caring about Rigos devastating body pnuches willing to get his own head hunting in.

    Great style match up :good

The man only has ten fights. Who else fought that competition in their first ten fights?

    Don't make that so special.

I actually wouldn't mind him fighting Poonsawat but fight won't happen since nobody knows either fighter.
