at the moment Pecks, but not much longer.

 

I rate Dennis Gordon above Kev and Evro as far as an all round league player. Dennis didnt have the speed Kev does and was always stuck behind some good players in the Titans squad when he played for Tweed.

It'd be interesting to see what kind of squads these 2nd generation Aussie sides could pump out.

 

Am thinking about heading out there for a holiday in feb. Will probably shoot you a pm later on asking about it.

If you are mates with any of them I'd be interested to hear what they thought of the game. The guys they were playing were more than 50% foreigners - the Thais even had a Cameroonian(sp?) playing. I'd say no more than a handful had played RL before.

At times the union instincts came into play - the fullback wanted to boot the ball when he caught it. Guys would run back into defenders when they made half breaks. They managed to force a drop out once and they all went and stood like 30 metres back from the tryline The spectators had to yell out "move up" and "short kick off"

They are hoping to form a four team RL comp next year. Good luck to them.

To his credit, Steve Mascord from Rugby League Week was covering the game and was actually working sometimes having to run down to the sideline from the shade of the grandstand to get a try scorers name......

I just told Dave about the line drop out Thailand forced and how they lined up to recieve it and he cracked up. Kev and him always have a crack at each other about their respective nations and who would win. You just added more fuel to the fire

 

I dont mind Darius as a player, but he wont make the All Stars game cause he just isnt a fan favourite. This game is out only shot at getting Dave amongst the big boys cause he aint doing anything sitting on the wing at the underperforming Titans.

How ****ing rediculous you have to pick two forwards and backs from each team.

 

I predict that Dave Taylor and Nate Myles will be Daves biggest threat in the team, they wont get more votes than him but they could top the count for their positions which will make it hard for him to get in the side. He is getting a massive following here on the coast now and I think could get big numbers if we somehow can get the PNG public to a computer :yep
