Sheffield isn't the worst place. Places like Hull, Sunderland and Stoke make it like a veritable paradise

Alexander is not going to vacate because he doesn't want to bend down to Brooks terms. Brook isn't calling any shots. He travels over or they find somebody else. Theres better fights than Brook in the US, Josésito López has a belt at 147.

Syndication to the networks is where the money is, they dont care about selling out motorpont arena or travelling 3000 miles to get there.

I think St Louis with the prime-time backing of HBO, will make the most money.

Devon would be fully justified in asking for this. He's the champion, bigger name, and a much more respected fighter. It's ludicrous if he's forced to travel to the challenger's back yard. Although I can also understand Brook's concerns - Devon's not exactly loved for his gift decisions in that place.

Funny if he does duck brook, will serve brook right for ducking bradley and missing out on a title opportunity!

Agreed, he has fought some good opposition. But looking back at it, the majority of them aren't as good as hoped.

Juan Urango, Andrey Kotelnik, Randall Bailey, Junior Witter, and Marcos Maidana are all hype jobs who get beaten by a boxer. Lucas Matthysse hasn't really been tested yet, so the jury is still out on him. But even so, Alexander lost a couple of them fights no doubt.

Don't get me wrong, Alexander isn't a fool, he's still a good boxer, but I just feel he's overrated.

I dont understand why he is doing this, anyone statibng it is to duck Kell Brook can not be taken seriously, Devon is 25 years old and fought a damn near murders row over his last few fights.

    Could it be sanctioning fees?

It's because Brook's promoter will try and force it to take place in Sheffield.

That does not surprise me one bit, but Team Alexander shouldnt be concerned they can pull 10,000 in ST Louis themselves against B level Contenders.

But he'll have to then give up the title - which is what Brook's promoter wants. He'd rather have Brook fight for the title in a vacant fight against another easy opponent, rather than actually fight Alexander for it.

We were agreed about most points however, I don't see this fight being PPV tbh even is St. Lois. I'm unsure how big the stadium will be but I doubt it will be 30,000. So unless the fight is PPV it will make more money in Sheffield.
I do agree that it should be in St. Lois though. (Although please be in sheffield so I can see it live). Also he is not a much more respected fighter, no-one respected him since he girled out against Bradley

HBO doesn't have to give it PPV backing. It can take place on regular HBO and still be able to offer much more money. Bascially, St Louis + HBO + Skysports (covering in the morning) >>> Sheffield + SkySports.

And by "much more respected", I just meant he's a more well-known, established fighter. Sure, he's lost fans from the gifts and the Bradley fight, but his level of opposition is far superior than Brook's. It's in that regard that he's more respected. Brook's a nobody on the world-stage whose best win is a Matthew Hatton. Matthew Hatton, for crying out loud.

    EDIT: Replace HBO with Showtime^^^^
