I came here because I thought boxing fans would be more serious here, but a lot of these responses are absolutely pathetic. People are underrating Mayweather for personal reasons, not for logical reasons.

Mayweather would have beaten a prime Barrera, Morales, Hamed, Ayala from this era. Add them to the great opponents he already beat - Hernandez, Castillo, Corrales, Hatton, Cotto, maybe Mitchell.
Mayweather is the best in this generation and is an all time great. I certainly put him above Pernell Whitaker.

  2. Floyd is undoubtedly an ATG Ducker.

    That cannot be denied.

  3. All small fighters, career super-bantams or featherweights.

Castillo beat Floyd in the first fight.

Sweat pea beat JJC in reality and beat Nelson, does Mayweather have names of that calibre on his record.

    Shot fighters don't count.

a good resume and his standing is based more on his perceived skills and H2H ability. could have done much, much more with his choice of opponents.

Also when the 147 division had Cotto Mosley Maragrito, both Cotto and Mosley ducked him, which must be a measure of what his opponents thought of him.

revisionist history. when WW was waxing hot and all the relevant WWs were fighting each other back in 2007-2009, floyd was either fighting hatton, marquez or on vacation. floyd ducked a cotto fight back in 2008 saying cotto is not a draw as an excuse.

    At 147lbs

    Mosley fought: Cotto, Margarito, Mayweather,
    Cotto fought: Margarito, Mosley
    Margarito: fought Cotto, Mosley, Williams

    Mayweather: fought an old Mosley.

Think it is clear who was the ducker.

No question about it, Floyd Mayweather jr, is the greatest ducker the sport has ever seen.

    Silly girls

When Mosley was asked directly, live on HBO, if he would considerer fighting Mayweather he refused citing a toothache, then a vacation which he was going on.

(Around this time Mosley was being investigated as well by the WBC for doping allegations)

Fast forward after Mosleys career best win, we saw why Mosley the number 1 ww at the time, had avoided Mayweather at all costs.

Cotto, according to his ******* validated promoter Bob Arum, was quote "too green" to square up with a prime Mayweather.

Again we saw how Cotto at his comfortable weight and as the number 1 154 lber in the world, was beaten by a 34 year old layoff Mayweather.

(A Mayweather who according to *******s has shot legs)

Been top of the p4p list more times than Mayweather.

Beats some true legends of the sport in their prime and at their preferred weight class.

Continually upset the odds to claim victory.

    And has ducked no one.

    Pacquiao >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mayweather
