concrete evidence? boxing is a subjective sport you can't prove anyone is ever the second best in any division at any point in history.

it's all a bunch of opinions.

True but you can go some way supporting a particular claim with some evidence to bring to the table to reaffirm ones point.

You claimed Williams was the 2nd best MW at the time, all I asked was to provide me with some reasons why you thought this was, so I could understand your position better. You maybe right. I just find it hard to believe he was or could be ranked so high at the time.

One punch KO over Top 5 P4P'er Williams
Came in as a replacement against Pavlik (many picking against him to get KTFO)
    Beat Chavez Jr thoroughly
Dominated Bunema as a 4-1 underdog

Good wins over Dzinzurik, Macklin and Barker.

He's carving out a nice career.

Williams was the 2nd best middleweight after he beat Martinez I believe.

That's if you scored that fight for williams which I didn't. Would be like me saying Bradley is now the 2nd best WW because he officially beat pac, which I know he didn't.

But then is Marquez the 2nd best WW because I know he did beat pac and I had him winning? My head hurts LOL

It was a close enough fight that it wasn't exactly a Robbery....but I still felt Sergio should have won. RING felt Williams won, apparently.

well aside from Martinez and Pav there's only Sturm who could be argued above him and I think Williams would have pushed Sturm's **** all the way in, plus had Sturm beaten anyone as good as Winky? I doubt it.

Just ignore the facts. Everyone was avoiding Williams from welter to Middle!

He did, beat Oscar. But I agree Sturm would have lost to Williams.
