Yeah, ok, one supposedly looping hook, makes Rios a fighter that throws looping shots all the time  Let's ignore the majority of the punches being thrown here, then: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcLDP7xMVFY[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATzIPHRgWG4[/ame]
You don't understand. That was the shot that was most effective and what rocked Alvarado that lead to the tko. The short hooks and uppercut before that didn't hurt him. Garcia has a solid chin and it would take a shot like that to affect him because anything less just wouldn't cut it. As i said Rios ribs are too open and Danny's body attack will take the sting away from that hook pretty fast. If Rios starts to slow down , you know its over for him.
Rios would outwork Garcia while eating huge left hands here and there. Garia seems to have a good chin so I think he goes the distance and loses by dec.
I voted for Garcia. That quick left hook would catch Rios in between exchanges and hurt Rios. Acosta did the same thing with his left hook in the middle of an exchange. I think Danny does edge Acosta in power slightly. The thing is Danny is younger heavier and seems to be a better finisher. However, we do not know how Danny will react to Rios punches. How comfortable is Danny going to be with Rios in his chest all night? Danny is not slick like the Cuban Rios faced. He likes to stay in there and trade. I think in this fight it is a matter of timing. If Danny ends the fight before the 5th round which very well could happen then he obviously wins. If not then he is in for a long night. Rios is only going to get stronger and will be better suited for the weight. You do not want to go 12 with Rios unless you are extra slick. I want to say that Rios goes down enough times to force a ref stoppage. However this is only speculating Danny can handle a high pace like Rios will bring if not then I can see him getting stopped. Morales busted Danny up really bad in the first fight. How will Dannys face hold up from Rios harder continuing shots?
I love bam bam but he is a face first volume punching plodder, his style is ideal for Garcia's counter shots. Garcia TKO6.
It's an interesting fight, I'd pick Garcia by UD. That said, Rios and his pressure style vs Garcia and his...what? Power-Counter-Punching? Is that even a style classification? Rios is a brawler for sure, but he's got more skill then just a two handed punching bag, Garcia is a counter puncher but isn't slick like a lot of counter punchers are. To some degree they're both kind of hybrid fighters. Sounds like it would be a good fight, maybe if it's not huge names then GB and TR can find it in their hearts to give the fans what they want (I can't believe I just typed that).
Bam Bam will eat Garcia's hooks for dinner then ask for more for his dessert! I don't think Garcia hits harder than Alvarado and we know what happened.
Honestly, I think they are both one dimensional. Both dont use lateral movements and rely on chin and their power punches. Garcia has a good left hook and straight right and Rios good uppercut and straight right.
