It is a sad sight to see Pacturds come on ESB day after day trying to put down Floyd to try to convince people that Pac is better. Give a ****ing rest. Pac started his career just swinging away, he didn't even learn how to use his right hand effective until 7 years ago and wasn't even relevant until he upset barrera and fought Morales who was done over and over again and kept getting passes against Marquez thanks to his promoter kept paying the judges off. And have a "conditioning Guru" in his corner while his head double in size, refuse to take a drug test and demands his opponent to fight at an uncomfortable weight and coming off losses.

Yeah u turds keep covering up the truth, i know it hurts bad everyday thats why you have ***** on ESB all day everyday.

I know I've called you a fanboy a time or two, but I've seen enough posts to admit I jumped the gun on that. My apologies. So, that said, what's your definition of an ATG? That seems to get tossed around too much by these board idiots, or is often used interchangable w/ All Time P4P lists.

    Spot on post.

  5. Sarcasm is a bit difficult to detect over the internet.

But it was pretty obvious the point you were trying to make.

Regardless of who fault you thought it was, it cannot be said Floyd fought the best welter during his time their between 2005-2008.

Judah just like Spinks before him ducked Margarito as well.
Only Marg wanted a piece of Williams.
And just when Williams, Marg and Cotto were all peaking Floyd takes a vacation.

Ask yourself, would Ali do that, would Froch do that, would Pacquiao do that?

Would pacquiao do that?:rofl u try to convince people who don't know any better, that Pac is a saint in boxing. just keep avoiding my posts that you can't debate with and keep preaching ur lies.

  9. What am I avoiding?

    I'm not lying.

    Look what Pacquiao has done.

Fought Lebawa with 2 week notice, step up and challenge the p4p no 3 at a new weight, he consistently goes after the best opponents.

He had a choice of Bradley and Marquez this time out, who did he chose, the tougher opponent.

Read and answer u dumb troll.

Answer why ur idol is such a liar and say he is afraid of needles.
Answer why ur idol love fighting guys coming off losses.
Answer why ur idol love requesting catchweights to get an edge?

  11. Where the question.

    Likewise with you, man!

Good question... I mean, generally I would say ones' definition of an ATG would be, say, the 30, 50, or 75 best fighters ever depending if the person thinks the top 50 are close enough to each other or if they truly think there are few ATG's and that the top 10 or 20 are leagues ahead of the other great HOF fighters. I suppose for the most part it is like a historical P4P list, completely ones' opinion. I think people are too stern on their views of how high or low a fighter could be ranked. I rank Monzon usually #10-12 on my "ATG" list, but I see anything from #8-20something as being legit viable conclusions one could draw.

I think one needs to keep in mind the era as well. I value the history of the sport more than the contemporary, but I hate when I see people listing 10 or 15 "ATG's" from a single decade yet they feel there are literally zero or one "ATG" from this era. For example, do you know how stupid this website will look when in 30 years they read that half of the fans of the time didn't think that either one of Pac or Floyd were ATG's? I truly believe that the opinions of this generations fans will be dismissed by future generations, and that our opinions of the now will hold no bearing on future fans/writers/historians' outlooks. With "duck" this and "fraud" this and "overrated" this and "catchweight king" this and "shameful chin" this and all the BS, I sure hope our opinions aren't taken seriously.

Then again, most importantly to me, I think it is used for individual situations. For instance, I would not list Kostya in my above defined general ATG list at all, but he is an ATG junior welterweight with an aura of having had some of the best power in his generation. Calzaghe, I don't like him, but he is an ATG super middleweight. And I do value the undefeated 0 more than most on this site, I've always said that. Do either rate above Emile Griffith on my personal opinion of an ATG list? No.

It's super loose, as loose as the almighty P4P list, but I would just like to think that people have some explanation and most importantly are consistent with their definition of such. And I'd also like to think people can acknowledge the fact that sometimes when questioned, you can only say so much and just feel strongly about how you feel.

Kind of a rant, hope it reads alright!

Of course Pac would do that.
He hand picked Marquez in 2011 and got outboxed
    handpicked unranked Margarito
dodged Mosley in 2009 and waited for 2 years until he was shot
just fought unranked Bradley at 147 :tired

    :hi:
