Will Froch duck Adonis Stevenson?

As for my reasons in making this thread, it sort of reminded me of the Alexander-Brook situation. Brook is the mandatory, but will Alexander fight him. Is Brook small potatoes to Alexander? It's a pretty similar scenario. If you think Alexander is ducking Brook, you must also agree that Froch is ducking Adonis, and vice versa. :yep

You should be ashamed using the words Froch and duck in the same sentence.

He won't be ducking him, but he likely won't fight him.

There are a few moving parts to remember, because its a weird situation anyways:

I believe there's an IBF rule that states that if the champion is stopped(could be champion OR challenger) there must be an interim bout before the rematch. So, Froch's calender in the first quarter of 2013 was filled out (barring an unforeseen event)

Also, after Stevenson knocked out Noe Gonzalez Alcoba, it took him forever to secure a a dance partner in the #1 contender eliminator match. Pavlik, Dirrell, Bika, Rodrgiuez, et al all turned down the fight, others were unavailable. So that pushed any possible fight that was hopeful in July back to August.

It was pushed back even further when the Stevenson-George bout was postponed several times and finally took place on October 12th, when Stevenson became the mandatory.

Had Stevenson secured a fight in July and won, I think it's possible that we could have seen a Froch vs. Stevenson fight in November instead of Mack. It would have been a great build up to Froch vs Bute II.

If the IBF chooses to strip him then oh well. Law suits and better fights take precedence over bull**** worthless belts.

We all know Boone gave Ward a beating. :-(

Dirrell keeps mouthing off that he wants Froch but he turned down a fight with Stevenson for a mandatory shot. He also faked brain damage to duck Ward. He's the last person that anyone should sympathize for because of supposed "ducking".

#1 ranked IBF SMW and #9 ranked SMW on RING rankings. He is a ferocious puncher and Froch might be scared of his Stevenson's savage body attack. (Froch was visibly hurt to the body multiple times against shot-to-****, drained Glen Johnson less than 3 fights ago.)

What round was Froch hurt by body shots in? I honestly don't remember him getting hurt by it.

He didn't get dropped but he was visibly wincing. Rounds 7-9, iirc.

Adonis has a glass chin, worse than Butes, it would be over in about 30 seconds. Pointless mismatch.
