    Wtf?????????????????????????????????????????????? :pc

Apparently the deal was not worth fighting in Mexico, Arce's home territory.

Edit - article is incomplete. Negotiations still underway. Thread is now closed.

I guess those posters wanting to give Donaire preemptive credit for "being a warrior" have some backtracking to do

HBO shot down that fight to pieces. Nobody wants to see that match, except Bob Arum himself.

Tbh we all know Donaire will beat Arce. We want to see Donaire in with a live opponent that is not scared to trade and or mix it up with him. Then we will see his true potential. I'm still not sold on Donaire...

All he fought were live opponents on top of the division.

On topic, I read a tweet that Arce is asking for too much money.
I hope they dump Arce and fight Rigo.

Article in questions says that fighting in Mexico was the deal breaker for Donaire. Also, "asked for too much money" was the exact same excuse Donaire made up about the Rigondeaux fight.

This fight was a joke to begin with.

won't blame arce for asking a lot...he'll likely be taking a bad beating if it were to happen.

The article in question said nothing of the sort. It said the deal wasn't sufficient enough to fight in Mexico, nowhere did it say fighting in Mexico is the reason. The same thing would have happened if the fight were to take place in, let's say Vegas, if the deal isn't sufficient, neither side would come to terms, meaning no fight.
