Damn, that's about the smartest thing a boxer (Arce) has done in a long time. He knows Donaire needs him more than he needs Nonito. Why not ask for a career high payday especially when he's doing business with a guy who can send him into retirement with one punch? Arce knows the fans won't be mad at him since they want to see Donaire fight Rigo or Mares anyway. Good move.

Now let's see whom Donaire fights next. I hope he's forced into fighting the winner of Mares-Moreno or Rigo. He has to right? I mean Donaire would look like a fool if he were to fight a bum. Then again I won't be surprised to hear delusional, obsessed fans come to his defense by saying something like, "ND deserves an easy fight. Arum knows what's best for ND and we trust his judgment."

Fighting oldies is not good for Donaire's legacy. He should fight Mares.

And if he'd said yes you'd also be the first one here giving him credit for his courage. Every single action that Donaire could possibly take is worthy of our unadulterated praise.

:patsch Mixing it up and trading with Donaire is basically like ko'ing yourself. If anyone is gonna beat Donaire they are gonna have to box him. All these guys that trade with Donaire get ko'd. Nisioka tried to box and knew he couldn't trade or throw with Donaire and the two times in the fight he opened up he got caught and dropped.

Making Donaire come to you is the first part of how to beat him not mixing it up with him.:patsch

this really doesnt bother me. if he accepts, then he is fighting 4 times a year which is good in itself (even if this will be an easy fight for him). how many top fighters are doing that right now?.
and if not then it's okay cause he deserves a rest. can't really complain.

Good news, Arce is shot to **** and an uncorrigible brawler to booth, awful combo against someone like Nonito. Arce was going to get massacred.

but also bad news, because that means Nonito's next match will probably be another snoozefest where the opponent will be scared shitless of letting his hands go.

I guess Arce is afraid to fight Donaire. He only use financial issues to save face in not fighting Nonito.

Arce knows for sure that he won't stand a chance against the much younger and superior fighter, Nonito Donaire Jr.:D

Arce is more of an icing on the cake than anything else.

Taking that fight or not wouldn't make a difference that he's been great this year.

Hopefully all the meaningful names are next by 2013.

Im glad it fell through. It's a waste of Donaire's prime years. He should learn how to say no to evil Bob every now and then.Actually he should just demand The Rigondeaux fight now.Yes'Im that desparate to see this fight just to shut down the haters of Nonito

Donaire says he's willing to fight anyone and the problem was they are asking too much money. (rigo, arce)

He should rest his busted knuckle IMO and fight next year.
