Because Kevin Cunningham says that's the only way the fight is happening. And if Kell Brook come to america he can lose like the others :deal

If Hearn wins the purse bids he'll want the fight in Sheffield so Devon will fight or vacate.

A champion should be able to defend his title at home, but we all know how this business works.

AL Haymon is an advisor for Alexander so we will see what happens they might just over pay to keep the fight in the states or just take a bigger fight either way Alexander wins

It's about the Money - not the Belt.

It will all depend on whether he makes more money to come to over and fight - cause if not - it will make more sense or cents to stay at home.

Champion should be able to stay at home for a lot of the fights, but Alexander vs Brook in US does 10,000 Max, In england it does ATLEAST 20,000.

Would like to see DV travel, I'll give him huge respect if he does, I give Fighters like froch, Khan - respect eventhough I don't really like them, due to the fact of their competition and they travel. Khans last bouts, Neutral City, Home Country for Opponent, Hometown for opponent, Adopted Hometown for opponent, Khan hometown, Neutral, Hometown for Opponent.

He has to, because Alexander will never ever leave the US. (that way he can actually lose without getting KO'd)

As champ Alexander should have the right to fight at home. However, unless the fight has HBO backing in America, fighting in Sheffield will make more money due to Kell packing a 30,000 stadium and Alexander struggling to make more than 10k

Looks like it's not happening then. GBP won't win the purse bid against Eddie Hearn. They don't care as much about Alexander as Hearn cares about Brook.

I was wrong the other day mate, about HBO backing the fight. It'll be Showtime instead. GBP seem to have fallen out with HBO.

But I doubt Kell could fill 30,000 in Sheffield. His largest draw was against Matthew Hatton in the Motorpoint Arena - which can't hold more than 15,000 (never mind 30,000!). And Matthew, being a Hatton, helped a lot in bringing the crowd. And the attendance for the Jones and Saldivia fights were far less than that. Devon pulls in around 10,000 in St Louis.

Edit: They only had 9,000 seats set up for the Hatton fight. And that's in Kell's home town. I'm not sure what the final numbers were.

Seriously, Kell is not the draw his fans or his promoter make out. No none knows or cares about him outside of Sheffield.

A World title fight though will bring around 20-25 thousand fan I think in the UK, It would be good if they had Froch VS Kessler, Bute or any other top rated fighters, and Brook vs Alexander as co featured fight to that. It could likely draw 30 thousand or more.

Why would a british boxer be afraid of fighting in America, Your fans are hardly
partisan there will be one chant of USA USA around round one then it will sound like a home fight any way 1,000s of UK fans will travel for this fight
